A member of staff asked me to promise to do a review- so I am! I haven’t ever left a review for a restaurant before but felt necessary to do so.
First order 1/5 Customer service 1/5 Replacement Food 5/5
I ordered a slice of cake on a busy Sunday night- had a good experience in store as didn’t have to wait long and staff member was polite. However when I got home and took the lid off the cake box I could smell the strong smell of gone off cream and the cake had visible green mould on it.
I rang up immediately and spoke to the same friendly member of staff who served me. She apologised and said she had just taken the cake from the fridge and put it in a bag, so not noticed the mould herself. Fair enough these things happen. She offered me a replacement cake and meal as compensation which I agreed to. As I couldn’t come back that night but I said I’d come the next day which she agreed to and said she’d leave a note as she was not on shift. The good staff experience is the only reason for 1 star instead of 0.
Next day- I went into the store and took the mouldy cake with me. I explained the situation and the man on the till argued with me from the get go and threw the cake into the bin without looking at it. He was speaking really loudly so much so another 2 members of staff came over and got involved. They checked the cake after getting it out of the bin (agreed it was mouldy) but refused to offer a complementary meal. They were implying I was lying and that I should have come back yesterday if I didn’t live that far away- which I don’t think is the point! They shouldn’t be selling mouldy cake… 🙄I calmly explained what had been agreed and explained I had no reason to lie about it and to check for a note. They couldn’t find a note but attempted to call the member of staff from the night before. She didn’t answer. I found it intimidating and unprofessional being argued with by two loud men in front of other customers but luckily it was almost totally empty. I gave in and said to not worry about it- I just wanted to leave at this point. They must have got worried then because suddenly I was able to get the replacement cake and meal with an apology and a request to leave a good review.
To be fair to Mr Ts the replacement food was absolutely lovely and well worth 5/5. I have uploaded pictures of red velvet cake and peri burger meal. However the whole experience has put me off and I don’t think I’ll go back...
Read moreI recently dined at Mr. T's restaurant, and despite a slight hiccup with the wait time for our food at table 11, I can confidently say that it was an exceptional dining experience that deserves a solid five-star review.
First and foremost, let me address the only minor drawback: the wait time. Yes, we did have to exercise some patience while waiting for our meal to arrive at our table. However, I must emphasize that the wait was worth every minute. It provided us with ample opportunity to soak in the cozy ambiance of the restaurant, enjoy the delightful company of our fellow diners, and savor the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen.
Now, let's get to the star of the show – the food. Mr. T's restaurant delivered a culinary masterpiece that left an indelible impression on my taste buds. The moment the first bite touched my palate, I knew I was in for something special. The flavors were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was a symphony of tastes and textures that demonstrated a deep understanding of culinary artistry.
The menu offered a diverse selection, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. From the perfectly seared steaks to the exquisite seafood options and the mouthwatering vegetarian dishes, every plate showcased the chef's dedication to using high-quality ingredients and culinary expertise.
I must give special praise to the chef's creative fusion of flavors and the meticulous presentation of each dish. It was evident that Mr. T's restaurant takes great pride in delivering not only delicious food but also an unforgettable visual experience.
The attentive and courteous waiter Vishu added to the overall positive impression. She was quick to address our concerns about the wait time and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Her professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.
In the end, while the wait time for our food at table 11 may have tested our patience, it did little to diminish the overall excellence of our dining experience at Mr. T's restaurant. The food was simply outstanding, and I would gladly return to savor those flavors once more. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines exceptional cuisine with a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. Five stars...

1st visit - Tried the Bad Boy Box meal for £11.99 i was slighty hesitant after seeing some reviews that its over rated etc and im glad i tried it because i was impressed , if you have tried Three Brothers naga box which is similar then you will really like this too, three brothers imo have gone down hill abit and they have increased there prices which doesnt reflect quality or consistency so not worth it anymore
Don't get me wrong mrT's is not cheap either which is why i think there many negative reviews you spend buffet prices you expect massive portions and quality , here you get quality but small portions.
The bad boy Box meal is a good option u get to try a few things but I think the portion of the chips and stir fried donner was smaller than three brothers, wish they put more in then I'd give it 5 stars , the wings were amazing the smash burger big mac sauce made this burger stand out , peri chips were ok and stir fried donner had a nice quality donner with nice stir fried flavour.
The girl who served me with the cap was very pleasant, kind and welcoming, the store looked really clean ,only thing that they could improve instore is some seating for takeout orders on the left side where the till is , you can always sit where eating in customers are but its a bit awkward you have to go around a railing/ partion and sit down next to them.
UPDATE - went in 2nd time today and service was brilliant , staff polite BUT problem with my food hence why I dropped my stars to 3
I got the bad boy box meal again but this time with zinger chicken chips were better this time with bigger portion , food taste was nice like last time HOWEVER the wings and the zinger burger the meat was luke warm / cold , you can tell these were fried over 1 hour ago , they taste amazing but wasn't succulent and the donner stir fry again taste amazing but the donner seemed old and worst part there was only approx 30% donner and 70% peppers the ratio was crazy & felt ripped off ,Cleary there is consistency and quality issue that needs resolving expecially as the prices have gone up on other items on menu from 2 weeks ago when 1st visited which I have uploaded...
