By far the worst branch of nandos I've been to, and that's a lot of branches. We stood for 20 mins at the till when only 4 people in the line and when we got to our turn the female manger would not accept our nhs blue light card (first branch ever to refuse). We then waited another 40+ minutes for our food. When it came we found items missing. We asked 2 different members of staff if they could sort out our missing items, to which both staff members said sure no problem, but both never returned to our table. I then approached the till again and waited 5 mins to even be noticed. I explained what was wrong and that it was also now nearly half an hour since our food was brought to the table with missing items and that the rest would now be cold as well due to the lack of service since. It then took them a further 15 minutes to bring out new and all items correctly. To our further disappointment, when we then cut into our chicken, we found it to be still pink inside and inedible, along with garlic bread so hard it would break teeth. Our glasses supplied for drinks were both dirty and when we asked for new ones, they weren't much better. Having now been inside the branch for over 90 minutes and still had no food and horrendous service throughout, I lost my patience and approached the till again for a full refund and to log a complaint. They ignored me for over 10 minutes as they must have known what was coming. I was offered a partial refund only due to the fact they had witnessed us take a few mouthfulls of our refillable coke drinks (from questionable glasses), and would only refund the food section. At this point I just needed to leave the premises before I exploded with frustration as I had, had enough. We have always loved nandos for years and years and we have spoken positively of them to friends and family. We are not the types to slate somewhere for no reason either, however this branch inside Manchester printworks is awful and risks nandos reputation severely. It really is that bad and looking at other reviews on here, we are not the first ti experience this and similar. AVOID!...
Read moreWent to Manchester this Saturday and stayed over (not from the area) dined on Saturday at this Nandos. Service and food was shocking! Me and Wife spent around £45 for shoddy food and next to no customer service. I would avoid this Nandos if you are in the area. Ordered 2 meals and beers at the till to our table. 20/25 mins after ordering our food came, there was no signs of our drinks. We had asked about our drinks before the food came and again when our food arrived. Our drinks finally arrived when we had 3 mouthfuls left on our plate! The food portions wasn't great either (both ordered butterfly chicken, came more like a couple of pigeons!), with 2 sides, the rice portion was pathetic!. After spending £45 we don't expect to leave still feeling hungry! I also ordered extra hot chicken and the wife medium, they both came out the same (medium), couldn't be arsed to kick up a stink as we didn't have time to mess about further as we was on a schedule to be at the arena for a specific time. Another couple sat at the side of us also had their drinks brought to them after they had finished their meal and told the waitress to take them back as they had finished their meal and was leaving and asked for a refund for the drinks, (which I believe they did get). I would have asked the same, but the wife had already taken a sip of hers at this point. We don't go to Nandos often, and after this experience, probably won't entertain the chain ever again to be honest, just warning people of our experience at this particular branch as it might put a slight damper on your experience if your in the area like it did ours. There's plenty of other places to dine at in the area and would save your money and go elsewhere. Also whilst waiting for food I used the toilet facilities (upstairs) and they were a bit grubby and someone had left a massive log in the only toilet cubicle, it didn't appear fresh either so I waited for the urinal, but I thought places like this were supposed to do regular checks...

That said, this particular Nandos is alright. Since their renovation it looks much better inside, with bright lights and okay fittings. The decor theme is pretty much the same as most Nandos restaurants, lots of wood themes, barrels, plants, etc etc. The seating is now more comfortable, and it's generally more pleasurable to actually be in. Cellphone signal quality is still terrible in there, although that's more to do with The Printworks in general.
The food is again, just okay- pretty standard Nandos fare, with lots of chicken dishes (burgers, quarter/half/whole chickens, pittas), salads, and sides (corn on the cob, rice, chips, "macho peas", "creamy mash", etc). A point in their favour is that the food always comes relatively quickly no matter how busy it is when I go in (and it can get really busy due to the Odeon opposite, especially on a movie release day). The restaurant has an upper floor, which I've never been to- there have always been seats on the ground floor whenever I go in.
If you like your food spicy though, it may disappoint. In addition, it's a restaurant chain, so... make of that what you will. The cashiers (read waitresses) are friendly enough, although the managers seem more genuine about it. Nando's food is slightly overpriced though because when you get down to it, you're paying a premium for dressed up chicken and chips.
All in all it's a good first stop if you're having a movie night at the cinema, or even if you're having...
