Jerk Chicken
Our six-stage jamaican jerk chicken starts with a secret marinade that includes pimento, scotch bonnet and thyme it's then flame-grilled the traditional way over coal, basted twice, flung in the oven to cook through, to be returned to the grill to crisp up with one more layer of jerk basting sauce, it's finished with chicken pan gravy, mango and coriander.
Curry Goat
This indo-jamaican, one-pot wonder will knock your socks off! We've left the classic flavours there and finished with mint-cucumber yoghurt, pomegranate and coriander. It's all in the long marinade, deeper flavours are reached through the slow cooking of meat on the bone. This is goat on the bone, big bones.
Lamb Chops
Marinaded in ginger, chilli, garlic, cumin and black pepper, served with mango and coriander salsa, avocado hummus. Grilled how you'd like! We recommend medium-rare.
Pepper Steak With Spinners
Cooked-down, spicy steak stew with potatoes, peppers, carrots and spinners (boiled dumplings) flavoured with bay, thyme and paprika. Finished with a mango salsa and spring onions. Traditional jamaican dish.
Ackee And Saltfish
Salted cod sautéed with ackee, onions, tomatoes, garlic, black pepper and pimento finished with thyme and dill.

After finishing a long shift at work. I decided on eating some from my country and chosed Pull Up as I had eaten there a couple of years ago and the service and food was good. However, when recently entering the restaurant on a Thursday evening at 10pm this January. I was not made welcome and by the look on the young lady's face, I could see that something was off. I was told that it was takeaway only as they were closing soon. I mentioned that the website stated they were open until midnight and maybe this should be changed so customers were aware of the actual closing times. The young lady replied that the kitchen closing now so therefore the restaurant will be closing as well.

Unfortunately for me I chose to still order some food as I was hungry and wanted some "good food" in my belly. I ordered jerk chicken, sweet potato wedges and Plantin. When I sat in my car to eat, to my disappointment the chicken was tasteless, only the sauce gave it any jerk flavour. The sweet potato wedges were mushy and some of it looked moldy. The only thing I could eat was the fried plantin as that was freshly done. I was only in Manchester that evening due to work but I do visit on a regular basis as I have family there. I will be telling them of my experience at Pull Up and we will find somewhere else to "Pull Up" when we desire decent...

Ahh what a bundle of joy this little place is! I'm a fan of The Drop Cafe in Chorlton, so had to check out this little gem too. I was there on Saturday and had curry goat for the first time! Absolutely amazing. Honestly didn't know what I was expecting when trying goat, but I was slightly apprehensive. Turns out its just like lamb with a stronger taste. But they honestly cook it so good it just falls off the bone and melts in your mouth! The portion sizes are generous, and it was served with rice and peas and I ordered the dumplings (of course! Would be rude not to!) And even tried plantain for the first time which I also liked. I love the Caribbean, the vibes, the food and this little place is something special. They have made me love it even more. By far my favourite restaurant and I don't shutup about them whenever I talk about anything food related with people 😂 lovely setting and quirky decor, staff have always been pleasant and helpful on my visits with recommendations and service. Thanks for a lovely visit and you have found yourselves a loyal customer...

I was going to take my friend to another Carribean restaurant but this place was recommended to me by the shopkeeper.. I could not believe I'd not known of this place existence!

We were warmly greeted and everything was explained thoroughly, what portion to expect, spice levels, flavours . They offer lunch time deals and food included plantain, dumplings, various curries and stews.

I almost chose a hake dish but my weakness is goat curry so I tried that with a splash of yogurt and pomegranate. My friend had the peppered steak. We also shared some dumplings, rice and peas and haloumi. My companion is not a fan of this cheese but she tried some after I couldn't stopped raving about it. There was no squeaky rubber texture and the flavours were bang on. She ended up loving it.

Everything was made fresh was of perfect spice blend and consistency. We shared a rum cocktail for £18 this was also superb in flavour.

I am definitely coming back here, I would advise you walk that little bit further from Turtle Bay to have a much more tastier and...

Generally a pleasant restaurant that serves tasty dishes. I ordered the hot box which included jerk chicken and goat curry. It came with rice and peas, plantain, festival and slaw. The jerk chicken tasted authentic could have easily eaten another piece. I found the goat curry a little too salty, but overall the hot box option is great value for money if you want to try a bit of everything or can't chose what you want off the menu. We also ordered the chops, (again, spices balanced well and tasted great) and the curried vegetable. If I was to visit again, I'd order the jerk chicken with curried vegetable! Loved the painted walls, definitely the work of a talented artist. My only reason for marking a star down is because the seating was slightly uncomfortable and our table had a wobbly leg which could not be rectified by staff and there wasn't much option for younger children on the menu.

Been exposed to Caribbean food early this year on my visit down south. Been looking for a good spot up North. I came across this place by accident when searching for healthy food online and pull up came up. The first time I went had the hench box. Maaan there food was mega. Loved every bite. My son didn't finish his so I had took it home and finished my self. The staff were attentive and friendly, customer service was on point. Naturally I had to visit again and the food was banging second time round too. The meat on the curried goat is so succulent and soft it almost melts in your mouth. Would I recommend? That's an astounding YES! Pictures are from my second visit there

Day two of my Pull Up experience. Pull Up delivers a fanbloodytastic taste of the Caribbean right in the heart of the city. From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality set the tone. The jerk chicken was perfectly spiced, smoky, and tender, while the plantains were golden and addictive. Every bite felt like a quick trip to the islands. Whether you’re a longtime lover of Caribbean cuisine or just curious, Pull Up is a must-try – flavourful, authentic, and absolutely unforgettable. Only my Aunty Jean cooks better and she is a hard act to follow!
