this place was recommended to me by a friend and I have been recommending it to other friends ever since my first visit. on my first visit, i ordered the drunken noodles from Chilli B Thai. my noodles we so filling and the perfect balance between chewy and soft. i shared a side of garlic bread from Honest Crust Pizza. the meal was so delicious that i barely said a word to my friend! the second time i visited i ordered the kradpow from Chilli B Thai. the portion sizes were spot on and there was a lovely spicy kick to my meal. finally, the most recent time i ordered the vegan tantanmen from New Wave Ramen/Taiko Ramen. i was initially unsure but after one spoonful of the broth, i was so happy. the noodles were lovely and soft and there was a nice level of spice and heat to the ramen - you could still taste all the flavour. i also liked the ratio of broth to noodles however there was only one decent sized tofu slice which didn’t ruin the meal but i had expected some additional smaller slices. ive visited this foodhall during the week, on a friday evening and for a late lunch on saturday and every single trip has been a really good experience with such good food. ten out of ten !!

Eating here was the highlight of our day in Manchester Northern Quarter. The atmosphere is relaxed and yet energetic here with a vibrant hubbub of people talking and eating, food being prepared and cool music playing. The central seating area on the ground floor is convivial while smaller tables upstairs are more private. The building is stunning with sunshine piling through the glass roof to make the space feel really special. There's a good variety of healthy and interesting foods here..from miso dishes to excellent pizza. Expect to pay around £15 approx for a meal..GREAT VALUE. the food is excellent. There's a water station at the back where yiu can help yourself to glasses and pre chilled water bottles from a fridge. We arrived at 2pm when it was busy but we squeezed in on one table...people come amd go all the time so just wait a bit. Take your table number, which is on a wooden spoon on your table, to your kiosk of choice and pay by card. There's a cool nook under the stairs full of rugs and books for little kids...very family orientated if your kids are relaxed and enjoy vibrant spaces. Toilets are upstairs.

Went to Mackie Mayor last night (Saturday) for the first time. Incredibly busy like no other place. Its very spacious and pretty, and looks just like an old theatre . I sat upstairs, downstairs was rammed, and i ordered a chip shop burger from one of the alternatives on their app. Was nice, the fried chicken was hot, well cooked and the sauce was very nice too but was cold. I thought itd come with chips like the name mentioned but no actual chips, only very veeery thin ones inside of the burger it was 10£. I waited 25min and my friend 45 min for a marguerita, but they were packed so i can kinda of understand this waiting time. and 1nce again was very nice. Wines and beers aren't in the app so you need to go to the counter. The bartender that served me, looked like he didn't want to be there, and also there was another one that noticed me before other customers but ignored me and after she went to serve other people. Also remember to take your actual bank card because if you order through the app youll be asked for full card information, no apple pay. I might be going again :)

My second time here but this time with my fur baby. Always great to have a pet friendly place to hang out as it can be tricky at times with a medium sized doggo. Love the refurbished historic architecture and having an abundance of sunlight beaming through the roof. Nice vibe and spacious despite having heaps of people on a Sunday afternoon. Quite a number of food choices from local to Asian foods. We went for MUMMA's classic burger which is a solid 10/10. The chicken was so juicy and compliments well with the soft buns and sauces. The other dish we ordered was Chilli B's chicken Pad Thai however it was quite a disappointment. It was way too sour but I am quite sure it wasn't the taramind sauce (in fact I doubt if they put any at all despite being a key ingredient of the dish!). Had to ask for extra chilli flakes to calm down the overpowering sourness. In short, would definitely recommend MUMMA's and will be trying other shops for my next visit.

(Detailed review below) Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of my favourite places to go in Manchester mainly because of the lovely atmosphere, eating great food in a beautiful building! The photos/videos should help convince you to come and visit at least once! Choices of food is not too bad; I think most folks should be able to find something of interest to eat (even vegetarians/vegans should have some options). There's a business that sells ales/beers/wines but for non-alcoholic drinks you'll have to go to the coffee/cafe place on the ground floor just near the exit (ask for directions because it wasn't obvious to me either). Food prices are a little bit expensive but I did enjoy my food! And this place is super popular too so it can be a bit of a struggle to find seats, especially if you're in a large group of diners. Upstairs area are not accessible for those in wheelchairs.
