A review of two halves. We manged to get one of the takeaway, collection pizzas before the restaurant's opened for people to eat in and let me tell you.. it was incredible. It was the best pizza I'd had in my life and the dips just took it to another level. So naturally, after coming away from the life-changing pizza experience.. I was very keen to go back and try it when we could eat in after lockdown. To say I was disappointed would be a bit of an understatement. Almost everything we ordered for takeaway was now gone, "the jabba" and "the double pepps" were both gone as was the garlic bread starter. Pizza now served by the slice, at a fairly eye-watering £5-7 a SLICE of what was a quarter of what there takeaway pizzas were last time (around £16 for a pizza) and unable to order a whole one at that. It was my birthday so we ordered anyway, determined to have a good meal - the new tatter tots were really nice and the star of the new menu, in light of the pizza changes but once again expensive for what they are. Had 4 slices each, a beer each and cookies to takeaway.. this was over £100. The pizza was good, maybe not quite as good as before.. but we was outside in mid-April and I'd like to try it again in a takeaway or sit-down inside meal to check it wasn't just the outside experience that detracted from the quality of the food. The service however nice wasn't that great, we waited a long time to be served and only one of our drinks came.. had to order another then both turned up. We also waited far too long to pay the bill, after asking multiple people multiple times for it.. then there being a service charge on the bill at the end as well. It's such a shame, I was so excited to come back here and I just left with a sense of real disappointment. I'd not been this enthusiastic about pizza before (it really was incredible) but the price point isn't right and the menu's changed. Will try again when we can order a whole pizza for takeaway or sit inside again - otherwise I don't think I'll come back at this price point.

Wow. That is my final impression of Ramona. I genuinely wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, I think that's because I've seen them all over Instagram and was looking at it with cynicism and doubt. We had a two hour time slot under a covered area, campfires smoldered with coals and people cheered as shots were bought. The atmosphere was electric as everyone took advantage of the generosity of the waiting staff who poured prosecco like it was coffee at a 50's diner. The food stole the show. Do yourself a favour and order the special pizza "Cali Pepps". Detroit sauce, pepperoni, burrata, pecorino, hot honey and cheese. This is probably one of the best detroit slices of pizza I've had, I'm a Neapolitan purist but the Detroit style is definitely a welcome change in a world of thin pizza bases. If you like sauce and f you like cheese then this is the one. The massive ball if burrata dominated the slice, it was so creamy. It was the hot honey that stole the show for me though, that stuff is like crack! It's the hot honey that made the Jabbatots so damn good! They were covered in the stuff along with garlic & herb sauce , jalapeños and corriander. Get these as well!! We also tried the truffletots which did divide opinion. They are pungent! We smelt these before we saw them, scents of the truffle mayo and rigatello cheese wafting as they were put on the table. I love them! If you like turffle then these are a must get! My only issue with Ramona is it is pricey, the Calli Pepps pizza is £7.50 for a small slice. If you're hungry and wanting to overendulge this isn't the place, however, if you're wanting loads of drinks with friends and a not properly eating out then it's definitely worth a visit. Service was class at Ramona and they all deserve a huge shoutout. They made the experience even more fun! Just remember to drink responsibly and eat more pizza than I did.

Edit - Now they have started to open fully and take dine in customers my review is just pulling them higher than they deserve so I am now lowering it. Reason for this, the price has gone through roof, it is now by the slice and if you get 4 slices that is a pizza but it is now 2-3x more expensive than the take away one and you are not allowed to order that its slice at a time. They have also pulled 90% of the menu and it is not a patch on take away for product quality or setup. Go back to basics you had good food and setup for Takeaway and acceptable pricing so that is the base, a quid or so more for a pizza to help cover the "eat in" costs but that should be it. By all means sell by slice but 4 slices should be the same as a full pizza and that should be about the cost of it take-away NOT 2-3x more! Original Review based on the now ceased Takeaway Operation: This place is awesome just what the Manchester food and Pizza scene needs! Detroit pizza is awesome, lovely dough base and then assembled basically upside down to traditional pizza so cheese, toppings then the sauce 🍕😍 the cheese crown you get are sooo lovely crispy crunchy nom! They are awesome square/rectangle pieces of nom 🍕🤤🤤🤤 Garlic bread to die for so soft buttery cheesey 🤤🤤 Tried the coffee and the chocolate brownie whilst waiting and they are also awesome the brownie is gonna be soooo tasty and made in the same square pans as the pizza! The team here so friendly and bubbling with delight for the product and customer service really what you want.

If I could give it a 0 I would! Where do I start! To start as we approached the restaurant ready for an exciting night for our friends birthday that we had planned for a while very excited to come to this restaurant that we had been to on multiple occasions we were approached by a very rude, patronising security card, I am unsure of his name but he made it very clear that he was head of security to ourselves he proceeded to ask us for ID however it did not state when booking a reservation that you are required to bring ID I understand it says on your terms and conditions but honestly when planning a night out at 27 we are not going to read those. The way we were approached was diabolical and just out right rude! We proceeded to explain we could show an image or get a family member to call with the id however he processed to call my friend ‘little love’ which was very rude. Anyway we were very understanding and we moved away from the door to let other people in and our friend was going to go home to get her ID to come back so we could continue to enjoy our night. As we were stood outside we watched the security guard let a young lad in without asking for ID! As soon as this happened we went over and questioned this and the security guard answer was ‘so lady’s it’s a lot easier for a girl like you to look older’ which we found very very sexist as rude! The head security guard is extremely rude and I or my friends a group of 7 will not be returning again! The ones that had ID then went inside to wait for our friend to go home a 1 hour round trip to add to that to get her ID, once getting inside we went to the desk and gave the reservation name and the same security guard was there we said the name it was booked under to the lady on the desk for them the security guard to intervene and smirk and laugh in our faces which is very unprofessional! We finally got seated on 2 separate tables however we booked 1 table! It took 30 mins for anyone to come over and ask if we wanted drinks we then asked for 2 porn star cocktails to be told there was none we then watched a waiter to bring 4 pork stars to another table! So I took it upon to go to the bar and ask for a porn star martini which I was told yes that’s fine I’ll make them and I asked if this bar makes the drinks for the table which she said YES!! I was shocked!! We asked to move table due to being separated which they did. However the waiter we had a blonde lady in a grey knitted top with a bow on was so rude and dismissive and to be honest didn’t look like she wanted to be there really! The whole night was a disaster and completely ruined my friends birthday! There’s so much more to say! I would advise to not go here everyone is so rude and I think needs to go and get another job as they don’t seem to...

Not a great time at Ramona. Was supposed to be table service but after 30 mins waiting with no one to take our food or drink orders, we went up to ask someone with a tablet, and were directed to the bar, where we also had to wait for someone to have time to take our order. We then had a pretty bad experience with ordering for dietary restrictions where I asked for a regular pizza with vegan cheese or no cheese rather than dairy cheese, and was told it should be fine, so I paid. About 15 mins later I was told it was actually not fine because “all pizzas are baked ahead” and NOT freshly made like I believed. I thought this was a bit gross but fair enough, i guess they never claimed it was all made to order… I asked (providing what I thought was a reasonable suggestion) that they just add toppings to a vegan base pizza and then they swivelled the ordering computer screen to me and left me to sort it. I was left waiting until someone else came out and was mad that I had added more than two extras, which wasn’t explained to me (I had added more to make up the difference between the £6 vegan base and the £13 I originally paid). Had to redo with just the two extras (£8) but then I had to prompt multiple times to get a refund for the difference which really started to annoy me. They did give me a full refund for the pizza for the inconvenience, which I appreciated, and this has gained them an extra star in my review.

Two people from my party ordered the same pint, but one of the pints tasted like soap. My friend went back to the bar and the bar staff was quite rude about it until they themselves sipped it and agreed it was indeed off.

The food came with large gaps in between meaning the first person had nearly finished by the time anyone else got their food, even without me and my hassle. The pizzas themselves were alright, the tater tots were the nicest bit.

I was thrown off by the fact the food is NOT freshly made and poor service. I hope the staff are receiving the training and support they need from managers and that this Sunday was...
