An authentic taste of Naples with its traditional Neapolitan-style pizzas. From the moment you step inside, the bustling atmosphere and tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pizza transport you to the vibrant streets of Italy. The décor is minimalistic yet inviting, with rustic wooden tables and exposed brick walls adorned with vintage photographs of Naples. The open kitchen allows diners to catch a glimpse of the skilled pizzaiolos meticulously crafting each pizza by hand, using only the finest ingredients imported from Italy. The menu boasts a tempting selection of classic and innovative toppings, from the simple Margherita to the indulgent Calabrese with spicy nduja and roasted red peppers. Each pizza is cooked to perfection in the traditional wood-fired oven, resulting in a perfectly charred crust that is both light and airy. For starters, the burrata with cherry tomatoes and basil is a creamy delight that sets the tone for the meal to come. And no visit to Rudy's is complete without sampling their homemade tiramisu, a decadent finale that leaves a lingering sweetness on the palate. Service is friendly and efficient, with knowledgeable staff on hand to guide you through the menu and offer recommendations. Despite its popularity, the wait times are surprisingly short, thanks to the restaurant's efficient seating system and quick turnover.

My first time at Rudy’s, was super excited to try - love pizza and was going with friends who are a big fan of another branch elsewhere. Service started out great, we were sat outside and our orders were taken quickly despite this by a friendly waitress named Inez (I think!). Drinks came back immediately and pizza was no more than 10 minutes later which we were pleased with. The pizza looked fab and for the most part tasted amazing too, the burrata on top was lovely. It was just a bit oily and then liquidy with the honey, which was also a bit odd but my own fault for not reading the pepperoni pizza description properly. The only thing forgotten was my friend’s dip but this was brought as soon as we told the waitress. It began to bucket it down with rain but our waitress was quick to come out and put down the umbrella which we appreciated. Later I nipped in to use the loo and walked in that direction, before being called back by the hostess and questioned whether I was a customer. I can’t describe it but something was just super off about this interaction, the hostess asked where I was going and I replied to say the toilets - the look she gave me back was like I’d killed someone which I thought was really weird, but she quickly clarified I was sat outside and let me pass. Once the rain got too bad for the covers to handle we asked the hostess if we could move inside for drinks and maybe dessert. I think they had some reservations so it took a while to see whether this would be possible but we were eventually sat and ordered a drink and a dessert. Again, it was so strange - we were sat (she gave us an eye roll as we were sitting down) and ordered immediately but the hostess went aside and was throwing some crazy dirty looks and gesturing a waitress over in a hushed manner. I think she was annoyed by us wanting to wait until the rain was better to leave but we’d just spent 50 quid on pizza and were ordering more food and drinks so I didn’t think this would be a problem. Anyway, dessert came and unfortunately had a hair in it (we were desperate at this point to avoid any further interaction after my friends had pointed out some looks she’d given behind each other’s backs as well) but we found another super friendly waitress who replaced it for my friend with a fresh one as well as deducting it from the bill - above and beyond because my friend was more than willing to pay. I can’t think of anything we’d done wrong, my friends and I have worked at the same restaurant together for years and have had our fair share of annoying customers but we’ve never handled anything like this woman did, especially given we’d done nothing annoying as far as I knew. It was just so odd, very uncomfortable but in summary - won’t be back and shall be sticking to the regular branch which is a shame cause this spot was super cute and the other staff looked so friendly.

I absolutely love this place. Rated top 10 in the world and 3rd in Europe. It's no wonder why. This place is a gift to us Mancs. When I arrived I was greeted straight away by a lovely waitress who's name I didn't catch. She sat me down and asked if I would like a drink. I said no and she immediately got me the menu. Had a quick look and decided on my order. The Calabrese Pizza and the side salad. Cost me £10.20 in total. It wasn't cheap but the quality makes up for everything. And the speed. It took 4 minutes to get my meal! Outstanding. I was admiring the rustic charm then me dinner was there in front of me. The dough was gorgeous. Nice and crispy edges and soft center, the pizza was a spicy nduja sausage and buffalo mozzarella. So so nice. Then the side salad was rocket, radicchio, parmesan and balsamic vinegar. The salad was nice because of the salt and pepper taste of the parmesan and rocket. However, for me, the balsamic was a bit to much. I would ask for it in a jug next time because there was a load. That doesn't make it bad, it was lovely, just personally I'd like less. Just enough to cut through the radicchio. Other than that it was a lovely place and SENSATIONAL pizza. 100% recommend.

I haven’t been to Italy yet, but my experience here felt like a taste of it. 😋 From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest smile, and the staff who took our order & served us were just as friendly. The restaurant’s aesthetic is charming, with four "chalkwalls" showcasing the menu and petite wooden chairs that create a cozy atmosphere that felt like an Italian nona's kitchen on a Sunday evening. I would have loved to try the garlic bread, but didn't because it was just a small group, and we didn’t want to overindulge. The pizza, however, was the star of the show—and it did not disappoint. The dough was incredibly fluffy, like a pancake, and the toppings were exactly as I’d hoped they’d be. I’m already looking forward to trying the dessert menu on my next visit! We enjoyed: 🍕 Almost Lasagne 🍕 Triple Pepperoni 🫒 Nocellara Sicilian Olives 🍹 Hugo Spritz 🍹 Rudy's House Lemonade Highly recommend this spot for an authentic taste of Italy! 🇮🇹🍕🥗🍷 Also, lleaving a cash tip is a great way to show your appreciation for the hardworking team, they really value it! A little kindness goes a long way.

Sensational. This is by far the best pizza I have ever had (don’t kill me but I think it very much competes to pizza I’ve had in Sicily and other parts of Italy). The location in Ancoats is so romantic and cosy, compared to the more modern style of the Peter street restaurant. The value for money is amazing, the pizza is super filling and they don’t go shy with the toppings, even though they are of such high quality. My partner always needs a takeaway box for the last few pieces of her pizza. The flavours and pizza combinations are extremely interesting and I’ve been making my way through all of them on the menu. I wouldn’t be able to recommend one singular pizza as all of them are literally mind blowing. The dips should not be forgotten about either! The garlic aioli and spicy nduja are to die for. Their wine and cocktails are also worth a mention as they pair really nicely with the pizzas and the cocktails are very well balanced. This is one of the most affordable yet amazingly good restaurants in Manchester and it would be a criminal offence not to visit Rudy’s when thinking of places to eat.

I was in the area for the first time in months and decided to visit Rudys Pizza to understand what the hype was about. We agreed to wait for a painful 45 minutes. During this timeframe we noticed many free tables and other spaces that we could have sat on, but for some reason they were not an option. Location, interior and overall vibe were excellent, unfortunately that was all. The table service and food were simply disappointing and dissatisfactory! Pizza is my favourite cuisine and I wanted this encounter to be amazing. The dough was nice, however, the pizza was like eating bolognese on a sloppy bit of decent dough. It was so wet and warm. It did not hold up well and had to be eaten by a fork or rolled up to be made edible. Most definitely not authentic or Neapolitan. Our concerns were mentioned to the server who’s response was to claim that the pizza was meant to be ‘wet’. We know it isn't. Our overall experience was not worth the wait or the cost. I’m sure this was a bad day at the office, although we won’t be visiting again.
