I came here for a solo working lunch. I love that this exists now because it’s the perfect ambience for some quiet working. Had the fish and chips (only done on fridays) and it was lovely. Nice, crispy batter, fresh fish, delicious mushy peas. Also had their iced americano. The coffee is lovely. Food came out in less than 10 minutes I think, and the service was also excellent. Since it’s usually not super busy, it’s also a perfect place to grab coffee and work if you need to take a break from the busy cafés on the Green. I’m very happy. Will definitely return...

Had a delicious lunch yesterday (4th December 2024) with my famous colleague, David. He chose confit leg of duck; I had whole plaice with capers. Both were truly excellent; my plaice was creamy, melt-in-the-mouth, cooked to perfection. Our waiter was outstanding; his colleagues similarly first class. Stopped in for lunch while visiting the city and was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick but never rushed.
