We went out for a friend's 30th brunch, the waitress was pleasant and helpful and the French toast was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the day was left with a bit of a sour taste as the gentleman manager (who I can assume was the manager) was quite rude and felt was judgemental towards us - we are a group of young mum's with children and didn't expect to get that coldness from a manager. If you're thinking about taking a cake or anything for a birthday there don't. After spending £80 in total, brought a small cake from outside and I was bluntly told ' we don't serve anything from outside hwre' (after a scoff) 'we can't put any candles on anything' and just plain no.
Even if you couldn't and that's not company policy, a little more respect and friendliness in your responses would go much further than making a group of young mum's feel uncomfortable and as if they were being judged because of what they can assume was an inconvenience to your business because they came with their kids.
Just reiterating, the waitress was kind and lovely just whom she referred to...
Read moreI had been recommended this place as a great brunch spot and was excited by the diverse menu. However I was extremely disappointed with the service and in the end the food was just OK. We sat down and then waited over 30 mins before a waiter finally came over. There were a few other groups waiting and instead of taking everyones orders together he just took ours then came back for everyone individually. The food then took over 1.5 hours to arrive, but when it did it was warm, so it must have been sitting waiting for a while.
The people behind us were apologised to for the service and were offered free drinks but no one recognised or apologised for our wait. When we went to go pay, we mentioned the delay and instead of an apology the server said it was busy and we hadn't actually been waiting that long. I can only assume our waiter just forgot to put our order through but who knows.
I'm sure this place would have been better on a less busy day but for me, Thyme's up...
Read moreWent to get coffee for take away on the 20th of January for my gf and me. I asked two flat whites and an almond croissant for take away. The staff who took my order asked me to wait outside. In mid January it was raining cold and very miserable outside, felt a bit discriminating, because there was nobody waiting or standing inside so there was plenty of room for me just to wait in a corner. I was waiting outside freezing alone, when they brought me a latte and a flat white, not what I’d ordered. She was aware of it and told me she’d made me the wrong drink yet she still brought it out for me and offered that I could get a flat white instead as I ordered. I said I needed to go and left. The almond croissant was stale tasted like a day or two old. It Wasn’t a great...
