Me and my partner have traveled to Manchester from a different city, 1 hour and 30 minutes away just to eat the food and go back. We have been on two separate occasions and they can be very busy, especially on eid as we discovered and certain week days, haven’t been here on a weekend so I couldn’t comment on that but I would imagine it being busy too. However when it’s not busy, the food does come out quick and service is lovely. At first I didn’t realise that the steak comes with cheese and tomato sauce on top but when I mentioned this to the staff they were more than happy to take it off and re cook it without ruining the steak which was great. So for that the customer service was well and the food is always hot. The chicken wing starter tasted a bit off and the jerk wings are not authentic but simply wings covered in store bought spicy bbq sauce which I was disappointed in. Jerk wings should be authentic Jamaican.. but it is an Asian fusion restaurant Price was ok.. we had 4 starters, 2 fillet steaks, both medium well (my steak looks a bit more than medium well because I got it re cooked cause of the previous issue) however it was NOT well done. It was very succulent and lovely And we also had 4 mocktails. You can see the pictures I have uploaded to my review. This meal cost us £100 and some pennies. Steak is expensive anyway but Maybe that is expensive if there are nicer places out there .. the meat was lovely but I do think it could’ve done with a bit more seasoning and the veg, mash and chips could’ve been nicer seasoned as it lacked an actual taste I guess. However The peppercorn sauce is so beautiful. All in all, we might come back but we will definitely try out other halal steak restaurants first before coming back

Yaya's is renowned for its steaks and it is a 80 seater Afghani restaurant. It presents a vibrant ambience which gives you the feeling of you finding yourself in Mediterranean atmosphere. I ordered the Yaya's Sirloin Steak Special (£17.45) along with a Passion Fruit Martini (£3.95) and had the steak prepared in Medium rare. The steak was presented in a wooden board along with peppercorn sauce, chips, peppers, carrots and creamy mash. It is quite a large portion, so it does present a lot of value and the quality is there. The Sirloin steak was succulent and luscious, however after a few more bites it started to get rough chewy and worse of all dry, so I left a small portion of steak. Next time I will go with a lamb steak or T-bone and hopefully will be better than Sirloin. The Passion Fruit Martini is really pricey and very small (35ml) but easily one of the best drinks there! It was packing a mixture of flavours such as pineapple and apple juice along with various other flavours and felt so revitalising and refreshing! Yaya's is a must visit, but in terms of service it is a major let down. Had to wait to 20 minutes to get into the restaurant even though it was empty... Also It took at least half an hour for the food to come and finally the payment process is ridiculous here! Yaya's do not accept individual payments, so if you're with a group of five, expect to pay for all five of your friends and then they will need to pay you back later etc. But despite the food is great here and worth a visit, as it has that social and prestige atmosphere. You can find parking near the entrance depending how busy it is, as there are about 10 bays or you could go to Tesco on the next street ahead and that has 3 hours free parking.

I attended Yaya's on 21/08/21 I called ahead to book a table (to avoid waiting around) gentleman over the phone stated we don't do bookings. - that fine I can understand. Arrived around 18:30 as I come from Bury parked further down the side street as the same as everyone else. There was a gentleman with his Mrs waiting for a table so myself and my Mrs waited then a few guys come in and walked past us to get served/get a table and one of the worker saw us waiting (he was outside the entrance on a break) and asked if we have been severed which I stated no and he got us table and told the guys who walked past us to wait as we arrived first (I honestly thought we would get ignored and I really appreciate the worker get us a table) - top marks for that never forget that thank you. I ordered Fillet Steak Medium Well - Peppercorn Sauce (the sauce tin was pushed on the mash didn't like that I am sure they could of made space for it else where on the plate). My Mrs ordered Chicken Tagliatelle Pasta Creamy Peri Peri - with Cheese extra £1.25 (kind of bit expensive when the pasta is 11.25 on it own through the cheese in for free or incorporate in your price). I did ask the server if we could move tables (too more private area) but as we ordered we were told it logged in the system (Table 9B) and would cause problems - we didn't mind this. So, the food arrived quite quick I was assuming it would take longer food was nice no complains the only thing I can say it is a bit pricey and the portion are bit small (well for my steak it was and the chips were small portion also). They tried to sell us mocktails but we were not interested got normal drinks can £2 bottles £2.65 more than double the normal price! Then comes this service charge added without your consent (I did some googling and its 10% of your bill they add on) very cheeky. I spoke to my friend about this service charge he was like your in a restaurant just pay I was like the restaurant it on Bury Old Road not some top end in Manchester, my Mrs is like leave it just pay but personally this should be advised to the customers before adding it on. The place seemed a bit crammed like tables were too close to each other so privacy is not really there but was really busy the local like the place and the music is a bit too loud also. The customer service was decent and so was the food but just giving an honest review. As we were leaving we saw 2 family waiting so we know the place is busy. Also, there is not a variety of food compared to other restaurant but you can't do much about that. -1 star for being pricey -1 star for service charge -1 star for small portions +1 star for the gentleman (the guy with the beard and glasses older gent) greeted us at the entrance an getting us a table - this one of the many reasons I paid the service charge.

We came here o. New years day with a few friends. First time i have been here since it became yayas, it was sahara before. I have to say i was very impressed. We were seated very quickly, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very busy, and there were quite a few screaming children, but when we asked if we could move to a different table we were moved to one side which wasn't too bad. They have a very large and varied menu, but we went for the chicken wings, seekh kebabs and lamb chops for starters, and then the fillet steak for mains (as yiu can see were not too adventurous). I have to say, everything was spot on. But the lamb chops were second to none. Thick, juicy, cooked to perfection, seasoned and spiced just the right amount, so that the taste of the meat was enhanced, instead of over spiced as happens in most places like this. Also ..... That steak..... I had mine cooked medium, and it was perfect, just the right amount of pink in the centre, soft and not chewy at all, it was relatively well seasoned, but i found a tiny bit of salt and pepper on top really brought out the flavours. It is served on top of some roasted vegetables which i wasnt too keen on, but the mash chips and creamy peppercorn sauce were very tasty. Over all, a very good experience. It is slightly expensive for the type of restaurant it is, but i will definitely be going again.

Giving 3 stars koz of many reasons. Entrance was utmost filthy. Portions were too small. Quantity wasn't even enough for an adult. It wasn't worth for £11 at all. Everything is overpriced for no obvious reasons.(if its an hi-end place then we can understand, but this place is v casual). Staff wasn't attentive at all. Everything was coming in instalments. Food was served but no cutlery given. No sauces were offered at all. Only ketchup and mayonnaise which aren't suitable with handis atleast. £11 yaya's special handi consisted of 1 chop, 1 wing and 1 tikka that's all. Very disappointed. Had my fav chicken stir fry. From almost everywhere this portion max cost me £9.85 (all known hifi restaurants) , but here exceeding all limits plus half of the standard portion was given. My kids always share this dish but this time even it wasn't enuff for me, wat a shame!! £5.30 wings portion came with only "2" wings...... omg!! Trust me they were chicken wings not gold wings. Mojitos are £4.86, why?? Service charges £2.67 is an additional charge on top of total. Plus there is a "tip" box as well next to paying counter. Parking is for not more than 10 cars. Good thing- they don't charge for water. So overall i don't recommend at all. If u r really rich and a free spender give a try.

I came to eat at yayas with my friends on Friday evening. When I rang them up to book a table I was told they dont take bookings on friday/Saturday. We arrived and had to look for parking as they do not have a car park. We waited approx 15mins to be seated. We ordered our drinks around 10 mins after getting seated. The mint mojito was refreshing and the mango and passion mojito tasted like mango lassi. We requested for our starters to arrive with the mains to avoid any delays with the food arriving. We ordered the chicken linguine which was creamy and delicious. The chilli chicken comes with peppers and onions and it had a sweet and sour taste and was accompanied with rice. The steaks arrived medium-well cooked as requested. They were served with mash potato and steamed veg and also peppercorn sauce - which tasted amazing. All the food arrived within 20 mins of ordering. It all tasted fresh besides the chips - which tasted like they were refried. The staff were friendly however, it felt like they were lurking around 15/20mins after all the food had arrived. (I dont know if this was so other people could be seated.) Besides the minor issues, the overall experience was good and we would definitely come again.
