I have been to this SHOCKING establishment many times as it is closest to us, literally every time I go there, I swear it will be the last. But tonight's experience was beyond diabolical. So, for a start do not use the drive-thru, how this set up and access passed the Planners is beyond me. There is the queuing around the very busy roundabout that accesses the main town, with cars queuing in at least 2 directions which causes much frustration, cars hooting at each other as someone pushes in front of another car and tremendous arguments as a result. Unfortunately you cannot bypass the queueing traffic to enter the McD car park which would be totally fruitless anyway as there is nowhere to park. The reason there is nowhere to park is because there is NEVER EVER anything already cooked so no matter what you order, you will be asked to park up. Neither can you access the adjacent public car park again due to the queuing traffic. If you are brave enough to take this drive-thru on, always ALWAYS check your little brown bag before you leave as I can almost guarantee there will be items missing. Had to make a return trip on many an occasion due to one of the kids items missing. OK, so that's the drive-thru experience for you.
Now, how about the dining in experience .... possibly even worse. OK, so it was 1640 so you can expect it to be ramping up a bit. Opted for table service, machine didn't print the receipt so I would have been unable to prove my order and it never appeared on the little electronic board so had no idea if my purchase had been a success. In fact, don't bother with the electronic board, its rarely correct. All bins were overflowing to the point leaving customers had started piling there trays on top of the overflowing bins and other customers, in despair, just left the remains on the tables as there was literally nowhere for them to go. Since I realised we were probably in for the long haul here I thought a quick visit to the ladies was in order. WELL, I have kids so I know they aren't the best at "flushing" but these hadn't been flushed or checked for what must have been sometime ...... evidenced from cubicles 1 and 2 which were totally unusable. Now speaking of kids, no-one more than me likes to hear the sound of children having fun. But who in the hell thought it was a good idea to introduce a table game that involves young children literally bashing the table. I don't know the full extent of the game, something I think to do with the solar system and you have to bang on the planets as they light up .... its by the by really, you can picture the scene of having up to 10 young children banging the table at the same time (with both hands). As I said, I am a mother and love kids, but if I had seen this scene prior to having kids I may well have rushed off to the doctors to be sterilised ...... it is a great promotion for contraception none the less. So, you'll be pleased to hear, the food did turn up (minus the dips ... of course). Having arrived at 1640, 2 big macs, fries, 2 drinks and 3 chicken selects (it wasn't a big order) arrived at 1725. Sadly, due to poor access we had to park in a car park away from the actual MCD's and my car parking was due to expire 15 mins after the food arrived. Ended up having to leave the fries and half the drink and took daughters fries and drink for her to eat in the car on the way home.
During my entire experience, there was ONE poor lady out front trying to clear tables, empty bins whilst being CONSTANTLY interrupted by agitated customers wondering if they were ever going to be served. Its the most awful hideous McD's to visit as a customer but it must be an even more DIABOLICAL PLACE to WORK despite the staff trying to do their best with a smile on their face remaining incredibly polite. McD's MANAGEMENT sort yourselves out, your customers and particularly YOUR STAFF...
Read moreNow whilst i appreciate I've visited at the tail end of the Summer holidays I deliberately avoided lunch time and arrived at 2:10pm I then queued for 5 mins to even order (This should have red-flagged but sadly I gambled) I then strategically ordered a simple cheeseburger meal with an extra burger in the small hope that the simplicity would prevail. No, I heard the dreaded phrase "Can you park up Sir" and I was handed my milkshake. My heart sank but I optimistically thought "Maybe it won't be so bad"... Failure point number 3 was the first mouthful of chocolate milkshake - OH BOY was it chocolate flavour, like all of the chocolate ever made condensed into a single drink - I'm not expert but I think the mix quantity was a shade off. That was also my last mouthful. Fast forward 23 minutes and I'm at the window requesting a refund. A hopeful worker volunteered "I have the order here". No good I sadly explained, I'v bleed though my lunch break waiting for the order, alas I have no time left to enjoy what would have undoubtedly been the meal of my life, an opportunity clearly missed. (To be fair this fell way short of my worst experience when I was parked for 42 minutes (No I'm not kidding and this partly prompted to not wait so damned long again!)... As an aside and hopefully (if anyone even ever reads this from the Corp.) to assist with customer relations, if I'd been offered some complimentary items by way of an apology I might have foregone writing this review. (Sorry Burger King, I won't ever cheat...
Read moreShocking experience! Huge que’s with everyone being asked to park up and wait for food. When I said at the final window there is no parking, will you bring it to the other car park the manager rolled her eyes and went to look for a space. A MANAGER. She then returned telling me there was room. Lo and behold I come round the corner and no parking spaces and everyone blocking up the tiny front car park. I then ask an employee delivering food to cars and I’m told it’s a health and safety issue to deliver over the road, and He proceeded to shout and throw his arm up in the air when I asked him where I should wait like it wasn’t his problem. My mistake for asking a McDonald’s employee what to do in this situation?. I also explained I have two very young babies in the car so couldn’t park up over the road and walk over. I then drive to the car park as I had no other choice. I managed to speak to a manager who offered to leave his break and get my food for me. My whole experience was shocking with terrible customer service. You should never ever shout or behave like that towards a customer EVER! It was complete chaos. This is supposed to be a fast food restaurant and we shouldn't all have to be parking, especially when you can’t accommodate it. It’s not even like the bigger orders were having to park, every single person was asked to park up. Will not be returning and will also be writing an official complaint to...
