DaVinci — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

NOT PRAM FRIENDLY

Went in for an anniversary lunch with my baby daughter and husband and asked to sit on one of the booth seats (which I had done many times before with my baby).

Staff were blunt and refused to accommodate my simple request or allow me to put my pram to the side, apparently due to health and safety, despite there being a clear second access route for all staff and customers. They also said there was an issue having a high chair there, despite us having sat in the exact same location several times before. As it had never been an issue all the previous times I had come to dine with my daughter it was incomprehensible to me why my simple request could not be accommodated on this special occasion for me and my family. This obviously made no sense, does it also imply staff were ignoring health and safety rules on all my previous visits? They suggested an alternative seat where the high chair would've been equally 'in the way'.

We were made to feel extremely unwelcome with our baby daughter, which was particularly frustrating as a regular visitor to the restaurant and supporter of this business throughout its first year in Bletchley. Especially given I had promoted this restaurant to friends and family as baby friendly and on multiple occasions brought groups of friends and family with me to dine.

Having previously worked in a AA Rosette restaurant for a 5* hotel in Whitehall, London I have a very good sense of what good customer service for loyal local customers should look like, and this was disappointingly far from the mark.

Extremely disappointing customer experience as a previously regular customer and as a parent with a baby. I'd sadly no longer recommend this restaurant following...

I have had 2 no breakfasts at this new cafe and it has great decor and nice outside seating area and the service and food and coffee is the best I've had for breakfast in Bletchley.. It's more aimed at clients who want high quality breakfasts and lunch as its not cheap but you pay for what you get. It's a shame it's central Bletchley and we all know that it needs to be all regenerated and I can say that as I have lived here all my life and everyone keeps saying there will be changes when the new Bletchley station is competed but let's see if it does actually happen, in the meantime hats off to the new business in Bletchley like this that are trying to raise the quality of food and service on...

Been here a few times now......and will be returning a whole lot more in 2024. The breakfasts are incomparable. The lunches are wholesome and plenty big enough!! The menu is full of choice, so I reckon I'm going to work my way through it bit by bit. There is a real Mediterranean feel to the cooking.....and the window into the kitchen let's you see what's coming your way...... The staff are super friendly and charmingly helpful. The whole place has a real cafe/bistro ambience. Above all it's got that real homely local feel. On our last visit we took home a selection of the mouthwatering cakes on display..... each one of them was ridiculously delicious. Glad to hear it's now open until...
