I normally don't write reviews or give negative comments but there are certain points which I felt obliged to make, and I also feel it is quite important for this restaurant to be aware of so that it thrives to improve their customer service. I came to this restaurant back in 2014 when their food quality was exceptional and customer service equally excellent. I came yesterday night with my wife and new born with similar expectations. . The food was okay, so I won't complain on that end , however we arrived at the restaurant at 7 pm as per our reservation. We ordered two cokes and a starter. The cokes arrived with no fizz and seemed to be poured out of a large serving bottle , we politely asked the waiter to replace the drinks, he came after few minutes , simply adding lemon to our drinks , mentioning they were poured out of a fresh bottle, but it was quite clear there was no fizz in the coke. I did not want to make a big fuss as the problem was also long waiting time, meaning every single order was taking a lot of time arriving at our table. Secondly we ordered quite a bit of food for two, and included in that was a peshwari nan. As per our knowledge it does not have coconut or is not sweet, but it turned out to be a sweet snack. We politely asked if we could get it replaced with a normal naan as we were having savoury items in our meal such as curry etc. The waiter told us he would be charging us and is unable to offer free replacement. Now the thing is we visit several restaurants and a £3 item as per a potential expense of £60 is not a big issue. My family did not complain, but deep down it was quite embarrassing for me , that a simple item could not be replaced at restaurant's discretion. The food was ok, it could be improved by perhaps increasing portion size of 10 to 20% more, and carefully researching the spices etc for specific menu items. One rule of thumb behind a successful restaurant is keeping menu nice and simple and not having lots of variety as that is where alot of restaurants fail to deliver, and this restaurant is headed in that direction. We left the restaurant at 9 pm, so 2 hours as opposed to a one hour service ,simply not good enough. Read moreHad really worst experience going in today and felt very much embarrassed in front of my guest First of all I reserved the table for 8.30 when I went there there wasn’t any table for us ready infact when I reached there then they started putting cloth on one of table in corner which was very much embarrassing moment for me in front of my guest as I went for a fine dining but it simply give me impression as if I am in Charity food shop, then I ordered soup and ask them to serve soup in bowl which they refused to where else earlier when ever I went there I have been served in big bowl , anyways I thought rest will be fine but no then it was even more embarrassing when they serve the soup in individual serving and the bowls were just half filled and dipping from everywhere simply poor service, then I asked for popadum which were soggy so over all services worst , although complain to manager but no apologising attitude from him, anyways I m sorry but you can’t rate this restaurant as a fine dining it’s just simple ordinary restaurant so avoid taking your guests along with you as simply disappointment going there . Read moreWe had our daughter's first birthday party in this restaurant. We are deeply disappointed with the service we received there on multiple levels. We had clearly told them that we are having our baby's first birthday party and they didn't even provide a high chair for my baby and I ended up carrying the baby for four hours. The restaurant is very chaotic and understaffed. Although we agreed on buffet lunch for our guests, the owner doesn't seem to provide enough food for the guest. No one from the restaurant came to ask if our guests needed anything instead we had to chase the owner. The food was fine but there was no option for kids and we had to order additional stuff for our little guests. Based on our experience, the owner seems to have no interest in customer service.
