Really lovely spot tucked right by the woods—perfect for a little break after walking the trails. I popped in for a quick bite and ended up staying longer than planned because the setting was so peaceful. I had their chicken tikka wrap with rocket and mint yogurt—it was surprisingly good, fresh, and nicely balanced. Coffee was solid too, not too bitter, and the slice of cake I grabbed (carrot, I think?) was homemade and hit the spot.
What I liked most is how dog-friendly it is. I came with a friend and her dog, and they even had dog ice cream and water bowls out, which was such a nice touch. There's plenty of outdoor seating, which works well when the weather is good. Staff were warm and easygoing, just the kind of atmosphere you’d want in a place like this.
Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that there’s no indoor seating, so I imagine it’s less comfy if you’re caught in the rain. Still, I’d definitely come back—it’s a gem of a café in a...
Read moreGood walk, the cafe is going downhill a bit tbh. no takeaway cups for hot drinks. Staff not very helpful; I asked if the breakfast was still available at 10.55 and was told no, so ordered the advertised (until end of Jan) meal deal hot drink and bacon roll to be told the deal was finished even though still advertised and had to pay full price £5.70! Then sat down and waited, two more people walked in and ordered a full breakfast and were allowed to order it!!!! My daughter then wanted a bacon roll as she didn't like the sausage roll this took 45mins to arrive, the staff had forgot it and when I enquired they began preparing it whilst...
Read moreA cafe in a charming setting - it’s a good stopping point before or after a walk, and a nice place to sit and chat in the sun. The staff were nice, but slow, which didn’t hugely bother me, though tables went uncleared and unnoticed for a long time.
I have yet to try their food, though my companion enjoyed one of their baked goods. A smoothie was perfectly competent. My only word of warning is that their coffee is pretty dire. I had a flat white, and it was weak, slightly acidic, and almost undrinkable. It more resembled dirty dish water than a coffee. Pick a non coffee drink and...
