Ordered the family pack chicken biryani as a takeaway for dinner, expecting a satisfying meal. However, once we started eating at home, we noticed the biryani had a strong burnt smell, and the chicken pieces were charred. The entire dish tasted off and was clearly overcooked or reheated poorly. I called the restaurant immediately, and the owner admitted the biryani had been prepared earlier that morning. While he apologized and offered to refund the money, I declined—it wasn’t about the money but the overall experience. When you order food, especially from a place like Papaj's, you trust it will be fresh and enjoyable. Instead, it turned our dinner into a disappointment. Serving burnt food in a takeaway order shows a complete lack of care for customers. If they think they can get away with duping people for quick profits, they are mistaken. Avoid this place at all costs for takeaway!

Great meal, tasty dishes and attentive service. Only downside is that it's quite pricey for the size of dishes, however otherwise it's well worth it. Went for the veggie platter and aloo paratha. The veggie platter was nice, everything on there tasted great. The chilli paneer was the best bit, whilst it was a bit of a shame the Mogo was in a similar sort of sauce (still tasty though). Would have preferred more indo-chinese items on there instead of the samosa and kachori. Staff were friendly so no major issues with service, apart from the fact they apparently don't have any butter when we asked for extra butter for our paratha (very odd not to have butter when they used it on the paratha in the first place). Overall a good meal. The price holds me back from going often which is a shame but otherwise well worth a visit.

This was our first time at Papa J's and will be our last. We went for a New Year's Eve meal and sat down at our table at 6pm when the restaurant was relatively quiet. Our starters and drinks did not arrive until an hour later. The main meal was terrible quality, only just warm, swimming in oil, not pleasant to eat and poorly presented. Some of our ordered dishes did not even arrive. It was the worst tasting Indian meal that we have ever had. The restaurant was more interested in serving the takeout people and Deliveroo than us. We had to constantly chase and ask for things. Absolutely awful so please do not waste your money on this restaurant.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Milton Keynes and the food is so delicious and the service is so fast, and I had my engagement party here and it was a blast ❤️💫

Had a really good experience in the restaurant with really good food and ambience. The food was really yummy. The kids also enjoyed the food a lot. They also do a lunch buffet every Sunday. Soon to start the breakfast buffet as well. Suitable for birthday parties for up to 75 People. The staff are very friendly.
