Well.. What can I say.. The actual place, its cleanliness' and the Owners attitude I would rate a 10/10, for everything else its so poor..
Placed my order at 2pm online for me to collect at 5pm. I entered the building at 4.51pm told the staff my order number and was told to sit and wait, my order would not be long. After much time waiting 5.15pm to be exact. I approached the counter again to ask where my order was.. The assistant looked under the counter and found my order, to which my reply was how long has that been sat there, you knew I was waiting for my food. Her reply was not long, no more than 5 minutes.. I never saw my order put there the whole time I was sat there. I informed her if it was cold when I got it home I would be coming straight back, she was totally unfazed by my comment..
On returning home and opening the food was stone cold. One member in my party had to eat as she is a diabetic, so that food had to be re-warmed. The rest I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner who told me to return and he would cook it all fresh.
On arrival back he was so apologetic and told me to wait whilst it was all being done again.. which i did not have to wait long.
Returning home with my order and opening it, here is where I find the food odd to say the least.
Hot dog you expect a hot dog sausage, its actually just a pork sausage that you would purchase from any supermarket. The actual presentation is appalling, its wrapped in paper in a box which all the sauce is in the paper which has turned around in the box making an awful mess, and to top it all the taste of the sausage and now the soggy bun was not pleasant at all..
Burgers. Well what can i say.. Its a burger I have never had before, the colour the spice in it is really bizarre.. It does not resemble anything like a burger at all. It has a unique flavour and taste, and my opinion not a very nice taste and smell at all.
Fries.. crinkle cut, curly fries, sweet potato fries, Well.. I could of purchased all of them from the supermarket.. They all had a supermarket look and taste to them. One recommendation this place should take is.,, Do not put them in bags, they steam in the bags and go very soggy making them inedible to be fair.
Best part was the Mac n Cheese... apart from the green seasoning on the top, which the second time I told the owner can you leave that off.
I think this restaurant has a identity crisis.. it comes across as a american style diner, which that I'm sure lures people in, but in reality its like an Indian infused diner, with very odd supermarket style produce.
My review is my opinion on the quality and state of the food, but as for staffing other than the owner, and seeing other reviews that mention staff there seems to be an issue with staff, which i definitively expressed be treated and watching the staff whilst waiting...
Read moreUpon an impromptu visit attracted by the bustling ambiance, I was disheartened by the unwarranted hostility displayed by our waiter. As we walked in there was no greeting or smile in sight as we waited to be seated.
The lack of professionalism persisted as we ordered the chocolate orange cookie dough and brownie mashup.
The subsequent 30-minute wait was met with the same discourtesy from a different waiter, leaving no room for politeness or a simple smile.
When the food finally arrived. The waiters abrupt action of slamming our food on the table, coupled with a hasty departure without allowing my partner the chance to express even a thank you, exemplified a distinct lack of courtesy and professionalism by the waiter.
While acknowledging the establishment's reliance on student staff, I expect basic customer service expectations should not be compromised.
Regrettably, the culinary experience further plummeted below expectations. The chocolate orange cookie dough resembled a Halloween mishap, lacking both visual appeal and taste integrity.
Presented in a tin pan within a takeaway box, accompanied by a wooden spoon, it fell short of even the most basic presentation standards.
The brownies, likewise, exhibited staleness, accompanied by a seemingly aged chocolate sauce, microwaved to give the false perception of freshness. It was anything but. This lackluster fare was packaged in a cardboard box, further diminishing the dining experience.
Despite a notable emphasis on aesthetic allure, the establishment seems to have overlooked fundamental aspects of a fast-food venue.
A confluence of poor customer service, subpar quality of food, and an overall lackluster experience renders this one of the most disappointing dining ventures I have unfortunately...
Read moreHeya, boys and girls. It's a new place, so decided to leave an extensive review to support it, since a couple of bad reviews are dragging it down too harshly.
Me and my missus ordered two burgers, fries and loaded fries. The burger was amazing - pickles were thick and tasty, sauce was 10/10, buns were delicious and packaging was superb. I'd give it a solid 8/10 - well overpriced for what you get, but it does taste great, hands down.
Loaded fries were also delicious, the portion was substantial yet not messy, tasted great, another solid 8/10 into the basket.
Regular skin fries were a bit subpar, slightly better than average. A bit of crunch, soft inside, but a tiny bit tasteless, nothing special, but the price is off the charts, 6/10.
Overall delivery was great, food was mostly delicious, packaging was great, a very decent burger place. Overpriced, yes, but I reckon it was intentional, because food price is going off the charts recently and there's no point making it cheap just to increase the price 3-4 weeks later after opening - it would cause a much bigger uproar than setting the price high from the get go.
Also menu selection is rather poor in comparison to competitors, but quality over quantity - they can always improve it later as soon as the current menu gets settled.
I'd say 4 out of 5 starts is a score I'd give Patty's, but decided to throw a 5 just because it's a young business and we do need to support fair small business in this town, especially in current crisis circumstances. I hope I will not regret and they will improve over time, because at the moment the foundations are quite promising and I will hold my fingers crossed for...
