For video Instagram- chikkuchettan My overall rating is 3.75/5, but I believe this will improve over time. * Kerala Parotta - £1.75 per parotta - rating 8/10 * Chilli Chicken - £6.99 - rating 6/10 An exercise walk turned to eat delicious freshly made parotta. I think parotta is a weakness for people who come from Kerala. I think this weakness turned my exercise activity into gaining all those calories back. I wish I had eaten the meal within the restaurant rather than a takeaway, but note there is a service charge while eating in. Parotta The first thing I asked was if it was freshly made, and it was. I could smell the parotta within the packet, and the taste took me back to Kerala. I wish the size could have been a bit bigger or more layers within the parotta, but it doesn’t disappoint you; a must-try. The reason this is a must-try is in the UK, you rarely get freshly made parotta, I have been served frozen ones before, and even I tried making it failing miserably. The only downside of the parotta is the price for the size. Compared to other food items, you could get them for the same price in Stoke. I think they could end up doing more business if they can decrease the price of the parotta, but I can understand the time and effort to make it. Chilli Chicken The first thing I noticed was the chicken was fried separately and added to the sauce, which I think enhanced the taste, but for some reason, I felt it was average. The portion size is reasonable and provides it value for money. But on their menu, they have beef, which is the alternative combo for parotta and may be better suited! I didn’t try it due to personal food reasons but clearly not religion, as I have eaten beef before. From my personal experience, Parotta and fish curry was my best combo. I wish they bring this to the restaurant or traditional Kerala chicken curry. Overall I do recommend trying this place but don’t expect too much. Also, I think they have the potential to become a great restaurant

Went on a Saturday for the lunch, it was quiet at the time, only 3 of us were the customers . We ordered masala dosa, kizhi parotta beef , fish thali and two mango lassi. The place is clean and had a good vibe with music. Food came out within 25 minutes and food was amazing. Portion size is very generous. I think it’s value for the money. Only thing I noted customer service is not up to the standard might need some training on it. Highly recommended if you’re are in to South Indian food.

We went for a late lunch, knowing this place offered Kerala cuisine. We parked on the adjacent road, Robert Avenue. The dining area itself is not massive - seats around 30-40. The staff were friendly and service good. The menu offered a great spread of South Indian cuisine. The food was excellent - authentic Kerala dishes prepared to a high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and would highly recommend the place based on today's experience.

We have travelled from Stafford to UK mealclub for evening meal.As a group of 8 restaurant appears to be struggling to cope with orders . We have reached the restaurant on sunday evening 7Pm order was taken by 07:15 ( Time line gives better idea about my experience)ordered 3 starters First starter beef dry fry was given 07:40 (was expecting all starters together)to 8 hungry people which was good apart from the meat pieces came out of a fatty buffallo rather than a muscular meaty one ,Then after 20minutes Chicken 65 arrived this was excellent crispy . Wait continued ...after 20 minutes Gobi Manchurian arrived nice and crispy not too oily good quality. Then 6 porottas arrived around 08:30 instead of 15 porotta by the time everyone was really hungry and the toddler was crying .My in laws who came from India for a visit were getting angry . Porotta was very good beef roast I would give 4/10 rating . Varutharacha chicken was okay would I order again ?probably not rating 4/10 . Kadai chicken was good with subtle flavour 8/10. When every one finished porotta by 08:45 Masala Dosa arrived was specially ordered for my in laws . Taking into account of time duration (1:30minutes for making 2 ,masala Dosa).Wasn't crispy instead saggy undercooked not worth for the wait rating 3/10. Noticed 2 people or single person served food quicker.Unfortunately Would I recommend this...

Not worth the hype

I visited this restaurant based on online ratings and recommendations from a few friends, but I was disappointed with the overall experience.

We ordered two fish curry meals (£10.99 each), which included sambar, salad, and fish curry. The quality of the food was poor – the rice was watery. However which wasn’t worth the price at all. We also ordered a fish fry (£2.99), but it had a strange taste. The Chicken 65 was the only item that was okay, but nothing exceptional.

To make things worse, they charged an additional £3.35 something just for eating in, which is ridiculous considering the ambience was and definitely not worth paying extra for. Overall, this was a disappointing visit. The food quality was substandard, the pricing was not justified.

Management seriously needs to improve the food quality, and honesty in pricing. I hope this review will be helpful for...
