Visited this place as usually I always go karak chaii and thought it's been a while since I went to cha cha chai. It opened at 11 and we were greeted by the man that opened the lock and then walked off so we just had to let ourselves in we walked in and took a seat. Moving forward ordered English breakfast and Desi breakfast, Desi breakfast was fine however English we did say we didn't want sausages and turkey but when food arrived it had sausages. The waiter said we didn't tell even though we did as I had asked what can we replace this with but there was not many alternative choices for those that dont eat sausages or turkey. We eventually ate the rest of the food excluding the stuff we didnt want and left to pay. When we paid the same man literally just took the payment and there was no communication even the basic manners he lacks. I mean if your working in a place like this at least smile or be a bit more passionate about your job not look like you have been forced or dragged to work. I am just giving my honest opinion whether yourselves or your managers read this and try to say "oh we don't usually be like this" as when someone writes a review its typical for the business to try to make it look like its not the case. I am not sure if he wws having a bad day but ideally if you are then don't turn up to work. The atmosphere without music was dead usually its the opposite. The lady in the kitchen greeted the customers when giving their order and was very cheerful as there was only about 3 tables. The male was the opposite I have been to other chai chai chai places whether its in bradford, Manchester, Leeds etc by far this was the worst for customer service. I don't want to sound too harsh but if I could give it 0 stars then I would based on the customer service. I think I will stick to karak chai and chaiiwala in future.
Have a nice day...
Read more“RACISM AT IT’s PEAK” Where should I begin? This place indeed offers exceptional food, no doubt about it. I've been here over more than ten times, and initially, the service was impeccable, showcasing professionalism. However, recent experiences have been disappointing by incidents of racism from new staff member. One individual, in particular this guy ( I don’t know if he owns the shop but he acts as if he does ) consistently disrespects me , makes me wait unnecessarily, ignores my orders, and even bills incorrectly. Today's incident was the last straw for me. Despite being seated near the kitchen where I could clearly see my order, a Matilda cake, ready for serving, this staff member repeatedly ignored it, showing blatant disregard for my presence. Despite waiting for over 15 minutes, he never bothered to check on me or my order's status. It was painfully obvious that he had no intention of serving me, as evidenced by the neglect of my specific item while attending to others. Such unprofessional conduct is unacceptable. While I understand that my review may not significantly impact and losing one regular customer wouldn’t make much difference for the business. It’s crucial for customers to be treated...
Read moreNice food but rude staff. We , a group of 4 adults, had to repeat our order three times before they brought it to our table. A short while later, a staff member comes to us interrupting our conversation and saying: "I need the table for a family." We looked around, and there were no other free tables, meaning he was throwing us out! We will not be coming back.
An update following reply from the business: apparently, customers need to study your house rules for each season before they enter your restaurants for food! No one explained your house rules to us! Your staff did not point out the house rules to us, not once . That is a lie We did not move from the table before obtaining permission from staff. If you have studied your cameras, you must have seen my guest asking your female waitress before asking me to join him in the booth. In addition, I wished I hadn't moved as the booth was close to the kitchen, which made my clothes and coat smell strongly of food odour, and the very noisy family room. Anyhow, I prefer to dine in traditional restaurants that don't apply lengthy rules and minimum spending, etc. I am reducing my rating to 1 star given that you are ready to make lies to...
