I’ve visited Wingrove Café twice recently, and my experiences have been mixed but promising. My first visit was on a Sunday, and unfortunately, it didn’t go smoothly. The food took over an hour to arrive, and each dish was served separately, which meant no one at our table could eat together. However, the owner was very sincere in her apology and kindly offered us a complimentary open buffet and to cover all the meals. We appreciated the gesture but chose to pay for two out of the four dishes. I returned the following week on a weekday, and the experience was noticeably better. The food arrived quickly, which was a relief. However, portion sizes were inconsistent—some dishes were significantly smaller than during the previous visit. Additionally, despite requesting very mild spice levels, the food was quite hot. That said, Wingrove Café serves genuinely authentic Indian cuisine, rich in flavour and offered at very reasonable prices. I plan to visit again soon to see if the improvements continue and to update my review accordingly. Despite the initial hiccups, I do recommend trying Wingrove Café, especially if you're looking for authentic Indian dishes in a...
Read moreI usually order food online and occasionally go in for some chai. I was there today, sadly, the chai was cold, and the place looked absolutely unhygienic( like always). What's really bothered me is that one of the staffs went to the toilet and i literally saw him walking out without washing his hands.!!! And they have a 4 star food hygiene rating!!! Pathetic!!! On top of that, the girl who bought the 2 cups of chai on the table, was literally holding them cupa from the rim, with her fingers wrapped around the rim!! How can you have such staffs who don't have basic hygiene etiquettes? Absolute disgrace!!! I was about to have a massive blowout at the staff but my friend calmed me down. Glad i witnessed this, i'm never ordering food from this place anymore!! If i could , i'd give them a zero...
Read moreI honestly can’t believe I have to write this, but here we are. I ordered a veg samosa from this place via Uber Eats, and they sent me a chicken samosa instead. I’m a pure vegetarian. I took a bite thinking it was veg, and the moment I realized it wasn’t, I felt sick to my stomach. This isn’t just a small mix-up, it’s a complete disregard for people’s food choices, beliefs, and sentiments. This kind of mistake is not just carelessness, it’s plain disrespectful. For people who follow dietary restrictions for religious, ethical, or personal reasons, this kind of error is unforgivable. It’s not just food, it’s about trust. And this place clearly doesn’t care. Would never order from here again. If you care about what’s actually going into your food, I suggest you...
