📍Jasmine Bakery House @ 24 Fenkle St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5XN Delicious Hong Kong cuisine! Located in a rather inconspicuous spot in Chinatown, it's no wonder this place is exclaimed by many as a hidden gem. Regular customers frequent this spot. I'm glad my cousin who's been in Newcastle for about 5 years introduced me to this spot.

I decided on a soup based dish. Beef Flank Soup with Egg Noodles. Delicious. With the Chilli provided, the strength of the soup dish pervaded my tastebuds. Jaz ordered the House Special Soup Noodles.

What this bakery is also known for is their Hong Kong Polo Buns. I brought some home, heated them up in the air-fryer, and boy, were they delicious. Crisp, buttery, sweet enough.

This bakery is always such a lovely spot to visit! The quality of the food is consistently excellent, and it’s clear why it’s so popular. However, I’ve found that if I want certain items, I need to plan ahead and reserve them in advance because they sell out so quickly.

It’s a great little place for lunch, with delicious options that make it worth stopping by. That said, I do hope they consider expanding the venue in the future. A larger space could accommodate more bakery items, help avoid items selling out so fast, and make the seating area less cramped for those who want to dine in.

Have been going to this restaurant since 2016. Early this year they went through an owner change and there is some dishes has changed in taste. I ordered:

Soup noodles wantan mee with dumpling and I would not recommend at all. Soup is starchy as the noodles were not cooked separately (it meant to be cook separately to wash off the starch before served with soup). 2/10.

The fresh buns and pastries (Pineapple bun is their signature) still taste the same, which is 10/10.

Beef ho fun. Taste decent. 7/10.
