Turkish Café Vibes – Surprisingly Good! Would Definitely Go Again
Let’s start with the summary: pretty damn good — I’d totally go back!
Okay, maybe I was already in a good mood ‘cause the weather was great that day, which definitely helped the overall vibe — sunny weather just hits different, y’know?
The ordering system was self-service. Easy. No problem there.
I got this beef and egg dish — super nicely seasoned. Can’t remember where I’ve had something similar before, but it hit the spot. My friend thought it was too salty though, haha. That said, the egg was cooked just right, not overdone, so bonus points for that.
Biggest surprise? The strawberry sauce. Now, I’m not really a strawberry-flavoured kinda person — usually find it too fake or too sweet — so I saw it and was like meh. But then I took a bite… and whoa. SO good. Finished the whole thing. No notes. The strawberries actually tasted like real strawberries, not that artificial candy-flavour nonsense you get at other places. Sweet, but not too sweet. Perfect balance.
All the other spreads for the bread were good too — especially the honey. You can tell it wasn’t just some cheap supermarket squeeze bottle stuff. They clearly mixed or prepped it themselves. Proper thought put into it.
Okay now let’s talk about the cheese — look at the top-left corner of the pic (if you saw it). That tiny portion of cheese?? Too good… and way too little. I wanted more, like seriously. Why give me just one sad bite of something that delicious? Tragic, haha.
Now on to the drinks — gotta be honest: not the highlight. Not bad, just didn’t match how good the food was. Maybe I expected too much. I ordered this “coffee slushie” kinda drink, but it just tasted like iced coffee. Didn’t really get that icy, blended texture I was hoping for. (Not many places get this right though — it’s not actually hard, just a bit of a hassle to do properly.)
Still, it was better than what you’d get at most big coffee chains, so not...

We got the Turkish breakfast for two (with the scrambled menemen), a side order of sucuk and Turkish tea. The Turkish breakfast is fantastic - lots of different dishes but not so much that it’s overwhelming or you feel like you’re going to waste food because you can’t finish. It comes with menemen (green peppers and tomatoes with scrambled or fried eggs), halloumi, sliced cheeses, veggies, feta and fruit, pastries/bread, homemade jam, milk jam, tahnini with fig syrup, and honey with clotted cream. (I think that’s everything haha!). The side order of sucuk came with hummus too.
All of that (including the drinks) came to £28.
Everything was lovely; freshly cooked, beautifully made and so tasty. We also got some borek to take home and have for dinner that night (I didn’t include the borek in the above total figure) and that was fantastic too!
Very much recommend. The atmosphere is lovely. It feels fresh and light inside and with such friendly staff it was a genuinely...

We were warmly greeted by Zara, whose service was truly exceptional. We ordered breakfast for two, which was absolutely delicious. Though the portions felt a bit small — likely because we were very hungry — the taste made up for it.
It was also my wife’s birthday, and when we ordered a slice of cake and a latte, the staff surprised us by offering the cake on the house — a gesture that made the moment even more special. Many thanks to Zara for her kindness and to the barista who crafted a...
