I have been their customer for over 9/10 years after last night Iâm a bit concerned to go back,even though some friends of mine stop going to this place, due to lack of poor services recently.so I place an order at 7:20 as I was 30 minutes away from Newcastle got told your food will be ready in between 25/30 minutes.ok no problem that is great, also my stomach was rumbling 3 of us absolutely starving, when I have long drive I only eat light snacks after 7 hours drive from Canterbury Kent you can imagine it yourself!! Eventually got there to collect my food,at 7:55 fair enough they were seem to be busy waited another 20 minutes and they are completely ignoring cos they obviously stressed due to being busy, so waited another extra 5/10 minutes and told them I have a collection, is it ready or not?? The guy at the counter looked at me said ok give us 5 minutes!!ok no bother my friend,as I have been waiting 30 minutes already!!! TO BE TOTALLY HONEST I HAD ENOUGH OF WAITING AND CLEARLY I LEFT THIS ESTABLISHMENT, THE FUNY PART IS THAT OWNER OR THE MANAGER,DECIDE TO PHONE ME AT 21:13 AND HE KIND OF TRIED TO ACT ALL INNOCENT TO MAKE ME FEEL GUILTY OR SOMETHING.HI, YOU PLACE AN ORDER YOU HAVE NOT COLLECTED,WONDERING WHAT IS GOING ON,AT THIS POINT I HAD TO GIVE HIM A PEACE OF MIND.ALSO I WAS HAVING SHOWARMA AT THAT POINT!WHICH I HAD IT OF WEST ROAD!!ALL IM SAYING I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN RESTAURANTS AND GASTRO PUBS/TOP FINE DINING,MICHLEN STAR KITCHEN,ITALIAN KITCHENS,FAST FOOD PLACES, ITS NOT THAT I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO SERVE CUSTOMERS AND HOW TO MANAGE BUSY SERVICES ANF HOW TO HANDLE BUSY TIMES WHEN THERE IS PILE OF CUSTOMER QUEUING.ITS CALLED MANAGE IT,AND HOW TO MANAGE IT THAT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT.HOPE THIS HELP THEM WITH CUSTOMER SERVICES.ONE MORE CLUE!OWNER SHOULD THINK TO EXPAND THIS PLACE.TO A BIGGER VERSION MORE MONEY FOR HIM SO WIN...

Genuinely canât understand why the service from reviewers is getting 5/5. Yes we went on a day that was busy but have visited many restaurants on a busy weekend and still received good service. The waiters seemed very nonchalant and none seemed like they were happy for us to be there.
I hated the fact she had to point us out to the table who got sat next to us (who presumably were a larger group without enough seats) that she was waiting for us to leave before they could join tables. At this point our food had only just arrived to the table after a 20 minute wait. Naturally the other group kept staring at us every few mins. They mustâve been thinking we were eating for ages! If we didnât have to be somewhere we genuinely wouldâve taken an age to eat our meal after her comment.
Even when we first sat down it took them ages to come over, probably 12/15 mins. She didnât seem happy and unlike most restaurants there was no pleasantries or whether we wanted any drinks to begin with. Straight to the order. Had to repeat everything a few times and she seemed frustrated even though it was a pretty simple order. Trying to get anyoneâs attention was difficult and when I did, they didnât seem happy.
Also no tap water. And a 330ml can of coke costs ÂŁ1.70âŠâŠ.
Itâs a shame the service doesnât match the quality of the food which I have to admit was really really good. As with most restaurants, food and service need to go hand in hand and unfortunately this place...
   Read moreEXCELLENT foods and menu. However, the staff are aloof, already been here three times, they were aloof with me, and even one customer who had multiple orders they were keen to get him away.
The cook seems expert enough, but a little conceited as he had other things concerned (spoke in not English language), and again, this had been for 3 separate occasions which leads me to believe that's just how he is.
All in all, they give you the impression that they're not bothered. Not arrogantly, but they do give the air of "we cook delicious food alright, now you wanna buy it or not?" kinda.
If you're not bothered with this rapport and just in for the meat and food, this is 5-star excellence on food alone. However, British way could at least be polite or professional towards customers, and these guys fell a little short.
And NO, we're not being a karen, we're just looking for the should-be staff accommodation, the kind of rapport you see in other places like Manjaros or Red Mezze, and that isn't asking too much---that is what the "default" staff attittude towards...
