Attended 24 August 2021 at 9pm. Place not busy. Asked Bar staff how long they were serving food for... "About an hour came the reply". Ordered Food and drinks on the App by 9.10pm. Confirmation on the App that the order was received. Drinks arrived a few minutes later. 20 mins later we went to tell the chap cooking the food that we had moved tables. He proceeded to tell us he had wiped down and stopped serving. I said we were told you were serving till at least 10pm to be met with some lame excuse that he hadn't received the order. I watched him check the machine and he had received the order. But obviously leaving early seemed to be his priority. He then cancelled the order on the App about 9.45pm and we now have to wait to have our money refunded.

We are not local so struggled to find anywhere to eat at that time and had to drive 20 minutes to an area we weren't familiar with with to get a late night Chinese. We've drawn our own conclusions and a return visit...

Had to edit my review because I wasn't allowed to leave another. Visited 9th of September. Staffs changed and so has the service. I've came here most weekends for over a year. Haven't been since January due to work commitments and omg. What a change. Staffs changed, service is slow. Even when it was busy the old staff kept up and cleared tables quick. The pinicle for me was the toilets. Absolutely disgusting. Absolutely stank of urine. It was clear men were using the womens toilets by the state of the floor. Sinks were gurgling and toilet were backing up. No toilet tissue in holder's, just left in the sistern which is vile. Flush buttons missing and the water level was half way up the toilet bowl. I won't be back. I used to love this place. The aikenside toilets are cleaner and that's...

Unfriendly and apathetic staff. First time in the city and was having a stroll by the Quay and phone died 0% battery. Popped in here and bought a coffee and asked to charge my phone. Was schocked when the manager told me that its against rules to charge phones and that I had to use their chargers which require you to scan a qr code..which obviously I couldn’t since my phone was dead. I explained to the manager I am a tourist and needed my phone to get my way around and asked him for an exception..as they had many charging ports behind the bar. The manager eventually told me I had to leave because I insisted on them helping me out.

Ridiculous ā€œrulesā€ and ridiculous that the manager is so set on some silly rules that he couldnt have the empathy to help out a paying customer! ...

A very nice place to have a couple of drinks, and enjoy the views of the quayside in Newcastle. Always friendly staff and great service when we make a visit now and then while up visiting family.

Nice relaxing atmosphere on a week night, great views of the river. Staff were friendly and pretty quick. Only downside is price £14.50 for a pint and double gin lemonade.
