Rosie's Bar — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

Was all good until the women behind the bar refused to serve me any more alcohol after ordering only a single double drink I had had a few drinks in another bar prior however was not drunk by any means despite being alone and feel like this is ridiculous I was coming across as friendly and chatty which is my usual personality but was not drunk or causing any fuss by any means it's the shame as the rest of the experience was good was a nice bar with a good atmosphere there was also plenty of people talking loudly that were probably more intoxicated than me that were still served. First time exploring Newcastle and this experience has put me off a little bit from exploring the nightlife here any further it's alright saying it's a great nightlife scene until you are refused to be served when still far from being drunk. Any advice I'd give is if you've had even 1 other drink in any bar prior to your visit here do not expect to be served there's a difference between being cautious and being rude don't run a bar with that...

Really disappointed last night , walked across town especially to come here after a great night in December. Wasnt allowed to sit in the cosy comfortable first floor lounge and asked to move down stairs at 9.45pm where there wasnt even a spare bar stool , finished our drinks and left and they wonder why bars are half empty. Management need to adapt to their potential customers , do they want to attract us over 50s who have the spare cash and no commitments to enjoy a full night out or the post match crowd happy to stand and mull over the game who go home early with a takeaway? We wont bother making the effort next time. I appreciate staff may want to get cleaned up early but it was Saturday night , no wonder great bars...

Haven't been to this place for years but it hasn't changed. Situated at one end of China town it isn't huge but has an interesting array of memorabilia including heads that move! Also read the history of Rosie 😪 £10 for a G and T and pint of Timothy Taylor . Quite a few lagers and Beers including a couple on handpump. Crisps were an eye watering £1.25 but I really wanted them🤣 you can tell I don't often buy...
