It was my first time to actually try eating at this place even though I have been hearing a lot of good stuff from my friends.
Came to have lunch with a former flatmate to catch up and suggested we go here as he normally frequents the place after duty.
There was quite a wide selection of sushi dishes available, and each dish component was described underneath the dish name - for me, this was quite a huge help, because I want to know what it is that I'm eating. So, thumbs up to that!
The food took a while to be served, but considering they make it fresh, and in front of you, its well worth the wait. Food also was presented beautifully, and the flavours were absolutely delightful.
The only downside I found was that the space was quite cramped, and the seating wasn't really comfortable (with the considerable wait, sitting on high bar stools can get pretty uncomfortable). However for what they lack in space and seating, the staff are quite friendly and attentive.
Overall, good experience! Wanting to come back again to try...
Read moreFood was okay but disappointed that the waiter made a deliberate attempt to upsell us. We wanted the platter and was told it wouldn't be enough to feed two people (why is it even called a platter then?!) So on waiter's direction we ordered another dish and ended up not eating around 30% of our order. The cost isn't the issue but on principle I don't like this approach. Photos of the food may help.
Also - whoever chose the tallest tables and chairs ever did a poor job. Essentially anyone under 5'9 will struggle to eat with a normal posture.
Edit - responding to customers who take the time to give feedback with sass and arrogance. Nice commercial strategy 👍. Don't try to be Monzo.
You're correct, on reflection it didn't say sharing platter. However if we are being fair "platter" implies sharing in 99% or restraunts I've ever been into. Regardless, you should change the advice to - the "not a sharing platter" is enough for two people if they are just looking for...
Read moreFrom the moment the plates hit the table, I knew I was in for a treat! The presentation alone was stunning — vibrant cuts of fresh sashimi, perfectly rolled sushi topped with flavorful sauces, and beautiful garnishes that showed real attention to detail. Every bite tasted as good as it looked: melt-in-your-mouth fish, bold flavors, and the perfect balance of texture and seasoning.
The variety was impressive, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients across the board. Even the plating felt elevated — modern, artistic, and Instagram-worthy. Paired with chilled drinks and cozy ambiance, it was an unforgettable dining experience.
