This is a bar I have visited as my local for many years, today I had to leave a review as it’s so deserved. Following it’s beautiful refurbishment I thought I would try the food offering and was not disappointed. I started with the Korean-style chicken, it was tender and moist just cooked right, with a garnish of spring onions and slaw in the most delicious soy sauce dressing. My main I opted for the French dip steak sandwich which was highly recommended by the bar staff and did not disappoint , I asked for medium rare and it arrived as exactly that cooked perfect served on toasted bread with fresh rocket and horseradish crème sauce with a side of French fries . For me the ultimate pairing with this dish was the famous beef dripping sauce!!! No words to describe how amazing this is. Overall it was a perfect lunch in a perfect setting in the new freshly vamped up brandling. Grace and Faith were the perfect hosts making sure everything was as it should be, along with friendly chat and banter . This won’t be my last time here thank you team brandling for all your efforts

Been wanting to try The Branding Arms for years and years and on Monday me and my wife chose great sunny random day to try. The pub is a bright, warm and very pleasant place to be.The staff we met seemed happy and enjoyed the job. We asked to take photos and they were really cool with it. They also told us the menu will change in 6 weeks time too. We ordered two Signature Burgers. One Rosemary and Parmesan. Cheese cake, brownie. Was a costly adventure but super well worth it. The ingredients were nice and different for the taste. The amount of skin on fries in the cups was plenty and had a lush taste and crisp. The cheese cake stole the show in looks and taste, The cake had shortbread up the side too which I enjoyed. The popcorn and chocolate sauce were so pleasing. My wife had brownie and ice cream which was lovely too. Overall I would say look at the menus and enjoy. Thank you Branding Arms and staff. We will come back down the line in the year as we live in Blyth.

I was really looking forward to a festive and delicious Christmas dinner at this restaurant, but unfortunately it was just mediocre. The turkey roast was overcooked and dry, the vegetables were too rubbery (I believe it was re heated from the lunch) and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was overly sweet and not very enjoyable. One saving grace was the good service , and he really catered to our needs. Overall, I was disappointed with the Christmas dinner at this restaurant and wouldn't recommend it to others. There are plenty of other options out there that offer a much better holiday dining experience.

After I finished with the Post Office on Salters Road I popped into the beer garden for a refreshing cider on such a lovely sunny day; while waiting for my bus home to the West End. There was a fair amount of people outside but a good few tables free to choose from. Anyhow, ordered a few light bites which came quickly and were absolutely lovely - olives, calamari & king prawns. I do feel that the prices are a bit steep but it was a treat so I didn't mind, especially as the food was good. Being on my own, I like a venue where I can find a table and order from there so that's always a bonus for me, and the service was super quick both in bringing my drink then the food. The one little thing that I'd have to say wasn't good was not being offered any water for my dog. I'm new to the pub so I'm not familiar with what they do but it seems silly being able to order at the table then have to go inside in search of water for the dog. Plus being on my own, I try not to leave her or my bags unattended. Nevermind, she managed to stay hydrated with some ice cubes from my drink. All in all a pleasant experience on a lovely sunny...
