Food was absolutely superb, we had chef's mood board for starter with incredible selection of meats, cheeses and olives. Between us we had seafood bouillabaisse, pheasant, saddle of lamb and sausage and mash for mains. Dessert including kahlua bread and butter pudding with creme anglais. All tasted even better than it sounds! The service was first rate, really friendly and fast. Great selection of beers and cocktails - we can recommend the Raspberry Royales. Great decor and vibe - a bit quiet when we visited but didn't affect our evening. Prices probably higher end for Newcastle but for the standard of food and being used to London prices, this was great value and top food. Thoroughly...

Popped in for a couple of drinks & some food. Drinks prices are in line with the rest of area as too is the food. Speaking of which, the food is great. Went for nachos to share with Cajun chicken added. For once somewhere makes their own nachos instead of opening a bag of normal over the counter ones. These are huge! Ridiculously tasty too. For mains we ordered 2 burgers, Barca burger (bacon & cheese) & Mexican (pork, salsa, cheese). Both big homemade burgers, beautifully cooked & presented, along with home made fries. Me & the Mrs are both completely stuffed & need a snooze...

It was nice in here at first, only been in here since bars reopened on 12 April 2021 until The management told me customers made complaints about me talking to them. That is what pubs is albout in the Geordie Land. We are friendly people and pubs is a social thing but the manager does not think that. Maybe the Government has scrapped talking to people as well. The world has gone crazy with this pandemic recently. All the management had to do was tell me not to disturb other customers and I would of done that. Poor management...
