I came here to try the boba whilst visiting family - found it through Google.
I've had boba in lots of places before including very traditional Taiwanese/Chinese style shops so have high standards for boba tea. This was pretty average to be honest. Tea was made using creamer I'm pretty sure and it was just quite westernised, non specialty drinks - Wasn't bad but definitely just a bit lackluster, no ice or sugar level customisation either.
To give this place credit the staff are lovely and friendly, their menu is unique with you choosing a milk then a topping as opposed to a range of drinks from a menu which was a fun way to order, it was very fairly priced for boba (under £5 for a pearls & milk tea) and you have to appreciate they're the only tea shop (from what I could see) in Newport and it definitely seems popular. Totally understand the requirement to keep it feasible.
Overall I would say give this place a try and see how...
