KFC Newport - Friars Walk Shopping Centre — Restaurant in Newport

KFC is one of our favourite places for food but unfortunately it has seemed to decline in food standard and food service. Our last visit we took home our meal and it was cold.This is the first time it has ever happened. It was quite rubbery to chew into.The fries though past few weeks seem overcooked..The service depending on time of day is very slow at night and don't have much staff. One person serving us .It was ok for when we got then but soon a queue started to form and this one poor server got snowed under with orders no one seemed to be there to really help her.Couldn't fault her very happy girl served us with very polite manners and smile but to walk in to see nothing had been cooked and had to wait was a little disappointing...other than this its well situated right by the cinema easy access staff always pleasant just the food service can let them down on occasion especially of an evening..Would I visit again yes because when they're on point they are on it just on occasion these things happen ..if it was to happen regularly then I would give this KFC a miss but for now I will still go..Hopefully it won't happen again as it is one of...

Went for some food this evening, ordered a tower box meal with sides 1 original recipe chicken, corn and fries and a drink , food took longer than usual they gave wrong food, then went to the counter and showed them receipt and they corrected my order, service very bad , while I was eating my chicken I've seen something in the chicken it looked like a plastic wrapping or something to me , went to the counter showed them and asked what it is , there was 2 on the counter they couldn't answer so they called someone from the kitchen and he looked and said this is part of the chicken it's not plastic or anything, I've never seen something looks like a plastic wrapping in Chicken in my entire life , I know how Chicken looks like and what chicken has inside. However, no apology nothing, I said okay throw it away I Don't want it, very disappointing I would say shitty please to go for food . I've more bad experiences with kfc they gave me food which is not cooked properly complaind but no proper solution. I had 2 of vegan burgers 🍔 ( 1 at £ 4.49 ) & a side salad at £1.49 ,& a coleslaw for £ 1.49 as well ,so spent total of £ 11.96 ) They were all delicious !! The salad came w/ sour yogurt dressing on it . This store was very clean & new ,at a very convenient location on the upstairs of the Friars Walk shopping center ! You won't miss it ! 1 complain for the vegan burger is it only had lettuce on it ! I wish if it came with a slice of tomatoes or pickles !? Maybe there's a good reason not to ?? But,anyway ,it tasted so - good ,just like the regular fried chicken they used the same / infamous spices !! So,that was so~ awesome / nostalgic to me as I grew up on them !! It was almost our family X'mas staple in Japan !! As a kid / teen there ! Lol. They promote it as a X'mas meal package during Nov.& Dec.there in Tokyo ! I'm sure they still do that !? Lol.I think veganism has come so far now as KFC make it available & catering to vegans !!! It kind of makes me cry !! Haha . Try their vegan burgers !!!
