The food is great. I recommend the chicken goujons they are absolutely delicious and they come with 2 sauces and chips and a salad. It's a big portion too so you'll be full.
However what I dislike about this place is that they have the audacity to reject people from coming in based on their footwear. First of all, the main night out there is Thursday with karaoke on. The place isn't even THAT full but they will not let you in if you are wearing Adidas or Nike. It's absolutely horrendous. I'm not even talking about proper runners. Adidas and Nike also do casual going out shoes but they won't let you in once they see the Adidas or Nike logo.
It's not particularly LGBTQ+ friendly.
So summarising: food is great, prices are ok, don't wear Nike or Adidas if you wanna get in on nights out, just wear plain colour shoes with no logos...
Read moreWent upstairs with my wife and few family members. £10 in for the worse of the worse. Music was horrendous and so was the crowd, everything awful. We left and went downstairs (after 15mins of being in the club). We asked the Barman if they were still serving he said yes. We paid for A Gin, Mixture and a Pint (£9), we sat down in the corner for the barman to come over 5mins later to tell us that we need to drink up. Honestly, don't serve us if you are going to ask us to leave before we could actually sit and enjoy a drink. Wouldn't go back!...

The downeys are lovely people and I really don't think they would appreciate knowing the behaviour of their security staff towards a group of women. I will never visit this...
