Food was great as always, service was terrible.

Reply: Hello, the member of staff last night created an unpleasant atmosphere. I came in and sat down at the 4 seater table to wait for my friends. She asked if I was the alone and I told her I was waiting for people coming. And she looked at her watch and walked off. Once my friends were there and we ordered, they all received their drinks and mine (a glass of water), I ordered bottled water but received tap water, took an extra 10/15 minutes to be brought to the table. My food was brought out to me 10 minutes before everyone else’s food. So, I awkwardly started my food so it wouldn’t go cold, I felt rude and embarrassed by this. When we had finished eating, we felt pressurised to leave by the way the member of staff was asking if we were done more than once. While paying for our food, the staff member never thanked us or showed any kind of welcoming attitude to make us want to come back. The food was lovely, but the whole experience was just awful...

me and my fiancé decided to dine in this authentic argentinian wee eatery in newry after great reviews on the socials. Our excitement was at an all time high only to be brought down so swiftly. Negative aura points. My FEMALE fiancé (i’m a girl by the way) ordered tacos assuming they would be hard only to find them as soft as her last relationship. This was falsely advertised and disgraceful because the menu gave us the idea of a concept of a hard taco yet there was no hard taco to be found. As for me i ordered the vegeta quesadillas, if I myself could rate this it would be under 9000, allegedly meant to be a mexican fiesta in my mouth, however it makes me regret ever attending this function. The jarritos were exquisitely well done though, this redeems everything, would recommend Maya Cafe to all you...

The only Mexican in Newry, sometimes you have to wait... but you know what... I don't mind waiting for the best Mexican food in Newry. Along Monaghan street in Newry you can find at least 10 if not more fast food options, all are deep fried instant processed food, or some un-healthy option, The Vegetarian Tacos from MAYA will blow your mind and you can get three for around €10 its crazy to eat from the other establishments on Monaghan Street.

I order three portions of TACO's, Chicken, Pulled Pork and the Vegetarian ones. In my opinion this is one of the best meals you can get to bring back home and pretend to your guests that your the Best Mexican Chef...
