Had been two decades since my last visit yet suprising little has changed. This "club" still has a small bar with a late license, stocked with a limited range of the more common beverage. Where once were emmaculate snooker tables (it was a snooker club back in the day), now stand well-worn pool tables. The scattering of white plastic chairs have been replaced by 80's settees thar resemble those that recently littered, the now closed, Ivory - another 'club' that lacked any identity and also tried to target only those wishing to avoid the high priced alcohol offered by 'The Hermitage' (Hermitage Road). Music of all tastes competed with rows of, slightly out of sync, flat screen tv's that are mounted as if pictures all round the walls. Each displaying the same channel and all ignored. The bar staff did their best as the drinks rendered the bewildered clientele more confused and less able to negotiate the stairs back to the 21st Century in the street below. Seriously... The owners need to decide what the club is. Lounge with tiny dance space, rows of Tv's, understocked bar and pool tables is what and...
Read moreWas in Osinkys tonight for a parents night out. All was good until 2 of the 3 young bouncers upstairs took a dislike to one of our party. They may find flexing their muscles and trying to push someone down the stairs as their ideal end to the night but it is definitely not ours.
I am a regular at the venue for various sporting occasions the past year with many people in attendance at each time and this is the first time I have experienced such over zealous, needless behaviour from your staff. I would suggest you check you video of the event and instruct your stuff to behave appropriately, otherwise you will find a distinct of lack return custom.
Such a sour end to a good night. I would therefore appreciate the management coming back to me with the appropriate apology, which we did begrudgingly receive from your doorman downstairs for the behaviour of their...
Read moreBH Monday, drinks in the market square. Staff warned us about a 20min wait food on arrival. Actual wait was just a few minutes short of an hour. One of the staff came out after about 15mins to say they’d run out of our order and offered a substitute which we took. Drinks arrived, pint glass poured to 3/4inch below the measure. Waited for food. 3 lads behind us ordered pints. When they arrived, they were also short measured; joked about the waitress coming back with the other half. Food eventually arrived. Order not as the menu description. Noted that they brought the cutlery out to tables after food delivered. Sorry,...
