My and my partner popped into Crab Pot Cafe almost on the stroke of midday which is when this cafe stops offering the breakfast menu. The lady kindly accommodated our breakfast request which we placed quickly as we realised we were cutting it fine. The breakfast was not only tasty but also good value. We were both really hungry when we arrived and fully content when we left. The lady providing service on this Sunday was friendly and efficient, the cafe was nice and relaxed for the most part. Unfortunately towards the end of our visit, just after ordering another coffee around 2-3 groups of people entered the cafe with dogs. I really like dogs but they all started barking at each other with fairly shrill barks which was far from relaxing within the fairly small cafe environment. We drank our coffees and left shortly after due to this disturbance. I've only rated the cafe down ever so slightly due to understanding that this is not going to be the normal situation and realising how difficult this is for the staff/owners to be able to manage. I'd definetly return if in the area and I'm sure it is a massive rarity to encounter ill-behaved dogs (or moreso irresponsible dog owners!!) in this or any other establshment.

They had no crab as it was new years eve and the fishermen had not been back to work.. Was going to go elsewhere but so glad we didn't. The owner was lovely and friendly along with the young lad behind the counter who served us. I had the vegetable lasagne which was so tasty and a good portion! Boyfriend was happy with his panini. They do lovely tea pig teas here. We had a millionaire shortbread to take away, all cakes are homemade and there's lovely little selection, it was lovely!!! A good little find and would come back if in cromer again! Really tasty homemade food..Thank you.

Went to Cromer specifically for a crab salad. First place we tried didn't have any crab so decided to try the Crab Pot Cafe. Some reviews were not very complimentary and I must agree that the place could do with a spruce up but the crab salad was delicious. The Cromer crab wa s packed with meat and was extremely fresh. It came with warm new potatoes and warm crusty bread, coleslaw and salad with a choice of dressing. Very delicious. We had a pot of tea to wash it down and that was good as well. Would definitely visit again.

A marvellous little establishment in the heart of Cromer. My Wife, young Son, and myself took the opportunity to dine here for brunch and could not have been more pleased.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the staff and even some regulars who were already enjoying their meals. Everyone seemed genuinely friendly and the service was attentive. A high chair was offered and supplied right away without us even having to ask. They obligingly provided my Son’s dish as soon as it was ready, and were very kind in providing extra plates/cutlery to accommodate the typical toddler eating style.

The coffee and tea are most palatable and responsibly sourced with the meals comprising as far as possible of locally sourced produce. The cake/sweet treat selection was equally good with a respectably sized slice of chocolate cake being enough to finish off the meal for all three of us.

The lunch and picnic menu looked inviting, although we sadly could not stay for a double fixture. I shall certainly have The Crab Pot at the top of my list should I find myself peckish in Cromer anywhere from breakfast through lunch.

I would heartily recommend this café to anyone looking for unpretentious, but modern locally-sourced food, good coffee, and a...

We unfortunately decided to stop at the Crabpot Cafe last weekend whilst visiting lovely cromer hoping for some really nice food. After no welcome from the OWNER on arrival we sat down when told 'there's some tables in the back". Drinks were speedy as it was just a can and we ordered our food. 35 minutes later no sign of our food...another couple came in and sat down opposite us and ordered. within 5 minutes had their food in front of them! I thought that was particularly strange... and of course it was because they were then tucking in to our order! The owner came over after the young server realised the mix up but there was no apology from him! He just said they will do you another one.Another 15 minutes (so an hour had already passed) we got our food. Wished we had left before they bothered to start ours again as the food was mediocre if that. Completely bland and thrown together and the crab cakes were so overpowered with herbs you couldn't taste anything else. Complete waste of nearly £30. Then to be charged full price and lack of acknowledgement from the arrogant owner on leaving screams customer service at its finest in this place! Will not...
