This is a great little place owned by two lovely guys who know how to run a business. The cafe is spotless, the tables and chairs cleaned meticulously after each customer is the first thing that hits you. Then the friendly welcome and an extensive choice of breakfasts, lunches and sandwiches on the menu to get your digestive juices flowing. Being a Sunday morning we ordered the Full English and boy it was full. Cooked to perfection, no grease, just fabulously cooked and presented food. I enjoyed a nice pot of tea with mine and my wife a fresh coffee, of course included in the price. Around us were many people enjoying a variety of dishes, the portions were generous on everything I saw, including some rather well built rugby lads who needed a doggy bag to take the remainder of their feast home. Being local and having just moved to the area we will definitely be regulars to this fine establishment and we look forward to seeing you...
Read moreVery friendly staff. And all cakes looked huge and nice. But slice of lemon drizzle cake was very disappointing due to being quite heavy texture and an odd taste both of us remarked on this . My friend's food and surrounding customer's food looked enticing. And my friend said her lasgner meal was very nice and plentiful. But Nothing really on offer for vegetarians. Usual jacket potatoes.or breakfast with qourn sausages. At lunch I would expect from a cafe that advertise on their web page vegeterians and vegan has least three four options for non meat eaters. I ended up paying £8 plus for three qourn sausages, mashed potatoes and peas. All very dry due to no gravy they could offer. Hello KITCHEN Bistro is vegetarian green v on tub GET SOME IN... And why not rissotto, tuna and pasta bake. Cheese and onion pasties, vegetarian quiche, or Vege option to most of what is on menu. FOR NON MEAT EATERS SO VERY VERY...
Read moreCalled in at Holt on bank holiday Monday lunchtime having managed to find an on street parking spot! Horatio's was down and alley off the main street. Had a table inside and the menu looked good both in choice and value. Service was quick, we ordered baguettes and a cold drink. Generously filled baguette and larger than expected side salad with creamy coleslaw and crisps. Staff were attentive to everyone's needs and we left feeling satisfied, vowing to visit again when next in Holt. Compared to other eateries in the town this was amazing value. Well...
