Ordered 2 x small breakfast and bowl of chips with the girls at checkout instead of at order point machine. I believe I would have had better smiles, communication and facial interaction with the machine then the girl. Waited 40 mins in a freezing cold cafe and eventually the food was bought to our table by a guy with no or little personality. Not even an apology for the length of time we had to wait for a simple order. The products tasted nice enough though the temperature of it was questionable. Coffee however had no coffee flavour.. regardless I was going to wait in car while wife went shopping and had another different coffee left in my mug. I decided I would grab a takeaway cup and take the coffee with me. No takeaway cups were available so rang the help buzzer. No one came for 5 mins so rang buzzer again only to hear the guy shouting "Okay we heard you, we heard you the first time. Will be out when we can. So I grabbed a cold drinks container poured the now nearly cold coffee into and left.
Morrisons cafe in cromer must be short staffed, with inadequately trained staff, their menu has now been whittled down to a few choices. I have a feeling the cafe maybe on the way out. I for one will not be returning to it. Cook better at home and done in a much more socialable, friendly and quicker way.
Sorry Morrison the untidy tables, the delay in food coming out, the cold temperature and cold staff add nothing...
Read moreCame here as my dad chose it for Father’s Day lunch but what a shambles at 12:30 tables piled high from breakfast and no staff to be seen. We had to wait 20 minutes to pay as no one was on the till when we did pay the girl did not understand what we meant by decaf tea bags. Finally paid for our drinks and food which we then have to go and get our drinks from the machine to find there was no milk, no sugar, half the cutlery was missing and all tables had dirty cutlery on them. To add insult to injury the person serving us at the till was the person attempting to clear tables which meant no clean tables so we had to sit outside with the smokers.
When the food did arrive half of it was cold as if it had been under the hot lamp for ages but to complain would have been flogging a dead horse as all shop staff and duty manager seemed concerned about a customer who got confused between the brake and accelerator pedal on their car and hit a trolley shelter at 3mph.
This store and cafe used to be so good with standards so high people used to come from miles around so it is a shame to see it with standards this low, staff levels and food quality so low.
One thing is for sure we had a charity ride organised later in the year with Morrisons cafe as our finish destination. We will now change this to the pier or another focal point in Cromer where standards haven’t dropped as low. We just need to inform local press and media...
Read moreThis is a supermarket cafe and as such has the usual fare. I have always had a good meal here and have no complaints about the food its always freshly prepared (if having a hot meal), the coffee could do with being stronger, but that's really a personal gripe. Seating is plentiful, not too cramped, I just wish there was more of a division between the cafe and the tills. The noise from the supermarket side of things can be a bit overpowering and on busy days really loud. The service is fairly prompt and tables are cleared if you are unable to carry the trays to the racks. As a stop either before or after your shopping I'd recommend it as the food is good and...
