The Baguette Shop — Restaurant in North Norfolk

I'm visiting Cromer for 5 days and before arriving in the town I posted in a few community groups seeking recommendations of local eateries, pubs etc as I always find the local feedback very useful.

I was in Cromer exploring St Peter and St Paul's church when my belly informed me it was time to eat.

I recall someone commenting on my post seeking recommendations about The Baguette Shop and the fact that they do Yorkshire Pudding Wraps. This isn't something I've ever heard of and certainly never tried.

So as someone who enjoys trying new things, I made my way over to the store.

The two ladies who served me were super friendly and we chatted about various things whilst I waited for my order to be prepared.

I opted for the port filled pudding which consisted of pork, of course, apple sauce, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.

I was initially concerned by the size, worried that it wouldn't satisfy my rather large appetite (as I typically only have 1 main meal a day, its typically quite a large one).

I needn't have concerned myself as it was very filling indeed and more importantly, really tasty!

Just ate,unfortunately in this establishment,never again. Asked for a pork baguette with the dressings ie. stuffing,apple sauce and crackling to be provided separate,reply no problem.The baguette came with everything chucked in giving one soggy mass exactly what we didn't want.Mentioned this to the server and no offer of a change was made only a apology.Did eat most of this mess and mentioned this to very arrogant person who we assume was the manager but got short shrift and told WE should have returned it,so having stated what we wanted first off that was not good enough,nor could the person who we first mentioned it to suggest about returning it. Miss arrogant told us that as we ate most of it couldn't have been that bad, something I would disagree with. I can only assume when the customer service course was on the manager we spoke to was off sick or on holiday. Poor service,quality and price. Avoid!!!! I note having posted this review a week ago this place has not had the decency to answer or dare I say apologise. If I could have given a minus score...

This afternoon in cromer we sat at a seafront fish and chip shop ..we very nearly orders fish and chips at £16.50 each ..but we thought No far too much to spend for lunch! So we walked further into town and found this amazing baguette cafe quality pork with all the trimmings and tea for two ..less than half the price and so much better value ..Can't wait to visit...
