Avoid at all costs if you have any Allergies. We were made to feel awful as we had to double check ingredients due to my daughters Nut allergy. At this point the staff member behind the till shouted out across the cafe infront of everybody, (now everyone is looking) "Which one of you has the allergy?!?!" whilst frustratingly looking through the allergy book huffing. Our young daughter then said it was her and the staff member actually rolled her eyes??!?!? What difference does it make who had it? She had no idea which one of our party was eating each item. Another member of staff then came over to see what all the fuss was about. At this point you can only imagine how our daughter felt, let alone how we felt as customers. It was so embarrassing and the repercussions could be so harmful especially to an impressionable teen. Having said that, no one wants to be singled out so publicly, let alone for a medical reason. Have some compassion Two Magpies. What might feel an inconvenience to you could prevent a serious incident or...
Read moreA welcome as we entered the shop. The display of foods looked very inviting. Sadly the young lady stood by the till instead of coming over to us so we could ask any questions. However I purchased almost £30 of foods. They were very tasty especially the cheese melt which we ate at our flat warmed for breakfast. Next day we went in for a breakfast seeing one table available I and my husband went to rhe till to order to find a couple who came in behind us taking the table. I asked if there was another chair as there was one table with only one chair. ' No only what there is,' came the reply. Very disappointed we left. There should be some way of indicating to customers that ALL should go to the till first or two queues one eating in, one eating out. Not a good system open to clear abuse. We walked to the nearby restaurant/deli where a board told us to queue for the waiter. Clear instructions. We were shown a table and person in front shown to counter to buy and purchase. Come on Two Magpies what are you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited Wells-on-sea for the day and visited Two Magpies Bakery for a quick treat. The queue in there was 15+ minutes to get served which is fine if the food was perfect. Their card machine was down so was cash only. The staff are so rude. We ordered an iced matched which had two prices - medium size for Ā£3.80 or large Ā£4.20. When it came it was barely a size small, we asked if it was a large (which we ordered and paid for) to be told āwe only do one sizeā ok so why was i charged for a large and not a medium? We also ordered a sausage roll which had to be heated up for 6 minutes. When eating, the sausage was stone cold in the middle which essentially made it unable to be edible. For Ā£5 for a pesky bite size sausage roll that you canāt eat is atrocious. The cookie we ordered was delicious but it was such a shame that spending Ā£14.85 and only being able to eat a cookie from the whole order is such a shambles. We didnāt feel that we could go back and speak to the team as they are rude and seem...
