We visited on Saturday evening and was shown straight to a table. We ordered the drinks and were told the server would come back and take the order for the food after we had decided what we wanted. After a while our order for our food was taken and we went up to get our salad. There were no bread rolls and I asked someone and after waiting a while, some were brought out. The rolls were freezing cold and looked partially cooked. I asked if they could be warmed and they were taken out the back to be warmed. After more waiting I received warm soft buns that still looked partially uncooked and were doughy. I went back my table and then had to go and ask when we would be getting our drinks. I was told someone would bring them soon. After waiting again and just before our food was brought out, our glasses came. As we were having refills, we went to get our drinks. One of the drinks was like water so we mentioned this to the server who said it looked like the syrup had run out, took the glass and did not return for ages. When the server returned I asked if they still did the crayons for the children as my small grandchild was getting restless, he said he would bring some over. When our food came my older grandchild did not have vegetable sticks like we wanted and had fries on their plate. The server said he would get a serving of vegetable sticks separately and we would not be charged for the fries. My daughter's burger bun was burnt. The mushroom on my plate was smaller than the tomato and my steak was like charcoal. I have added pictures as you can see some of our meals. I was also asked what sauce I would like and found out from the receipt it was an extra £2 for a small pot of gravy. I thought it was included with the meal. I do not think our meals were value for money, as my meal was close to £19, £21 with the gravy and the burnt burger was £16. There was a lot of waiting around but I would say the server looked rushed off his feet which is probably why we had to ask for the crayons, glass and drinks. Overall it was not a pleasant experience, considering it cost over £130. The food was a disappointment and the bread rolls looked and tasted half cooked. On a plus side the deserts were delicious and worth the money, but I will not be...
Read moreBeen here several times now, mostly a good service and hit and miss at times but tonight was unacceptable.
Seated us at a table which was too small to sit comfortably but we were moved. Had to ask three times for our drinks as they’d clearly forgotten, eventually came to take our orders, then had to ask for salad bowls.
Two starters bought out (asked when ordering that it was all bought out together) then waited ages for our main meals, again had to ask when they were being bought out. 15 minutes later they were bought out (an hour wait in total for mains), had lost our appetites by this time so my parents sent theirs back when they did eventually arrive.
The server said we’d asked for starters to come out before the mains which we hadn’t asked them to do.
My partner had his so was then waiting 15 minutes for mine and my two year olds meal, asked where they were and they’d also cancelled ours of their own accord, (again blaming us saying we’d asked to cancel them which we said to cancel my parents meals and we’d wait for ours) just asked them to bring my daughters meal out as she then left with no tea all together because of their mistake, manager was arguing with me which you do not do, no apology at all, was then ignored by these two people after this.
Bought the bill over and they’d taken off the meals we didn’t have.
Came out for a family meal which we don’t get to do very often, in the end only two people had their meals.
My daughter didn’t eat hers as the fish fingers were reheated and hard as were the peas. Had to also ask for her fruit bowl as it should have came out with her main meal anyway as requested when placing our order.
Still paid for one meal and our drinks. After the appalling service they should have wiped the bill and apologised about the poor service and lack of communication on their side.
I work with customers and you do not argue with customers, you apologise and fix the situation.Very disappointed with the lack of...
Read moreWorst Harvester I've ever been too...terrible We came here for a colleagues leaving lunch mid-week to have a drink and a bite to eat.
We decided to sit outside as the weather was gorgeous….but the tables were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for some time. We were not going to be defeated by dirty tables so we cleaned them ourselves.
Walking into the restaurant was like going back into the 80’s, terrible brown décor with added stained carpets and walls (this should of rang alarm bells…if it was up to me I would of gone elsewhere). We went to the bar to order our food and drinks, the lady was polite and friendly and took our orders with no problems.
After a long 50 minute wait our meals finally arrived. I had a chicken burger which was very dry and had no taste, a few others also had the same and they all agreed it was dry and tasteless. 1 guy had a beef burger and he said it was very overcooked and again without much flavour….a frozen burger cooked in the oven at home would be far superior in taste.
After we finished our meals we stayed outside for another hour or so to soak up the sun….our tables were not cleared and our plates, cutlery, sauces etc… were still there when we eventually left. Having dirty tables attracted a lot of wasps, customers were forced to move indoors due to this, even when the people complained about the dirty tables and wasps the staff did nothing.
Overall a terrible experience had by all and the worst Harvester I have ever been too. i will not be returning and I would not...
