The Tap at No.76 — Restaurant in North West Leicestershire

A first visit to The Tap @ No. 76 after hearing about this place on a visit to The Tollgate Brewery near Calke As one of four establishments in this brewery chain, it has a wonderful cosy feel inside, with a fantastic selection of real ales, craft beers, and other spirits too. There are plenty of seats available inside and on two levels, but also a standing area near the bar when it's busy inside. Service was very quick and friendly too. It's a place to both stay for a drinking session or a quick stop off before enjoying a restaurant meal elsewhere. I will certainly return to explore more of the beers available on my next visit......

Lovely cosy bar with roaring log burner down steps towards the rear. Wonderful range of regularly changing craft beers and ciders to choose from, available by the pint, half pint or third pint, so plenty of tasting to be done without getting too sozzled! Unusual nuts and crisps (beware the habanero nuts if you're not a chili hound!), cracking pork pies and Scotch eggs also on offer. The best bar in Ashby! Fantastic place to go for a proper drink, although it’s only a small place the choice of beer available on draft is brilliant with some really interesting and tasty choices for all Camra enthusiasts. The atmosphere is always welcoming and there’s a nice buzz about the place.
