Used to go here a lot when I was younger. With my mom to treat her maybe once or twice a week minimum for years. Amazing place great food and wine then.

I haven't been home for some time. I thought I'd show my wife of 15 yrs where me and my mother used to dine because food was fantastic. I've dined here within those 15 years.. been great.

I Arrived as a walk in table asking for a table of 2.. My wife was on phone outside..

Lady host said no problem not busy lots of free tables.. and pointed to an unreserved table.. It was a quiet day, quiet empty late afternoon not busy at all..

When my wife came through the door.. host immediately said sorry we're full and instructed us to leave.. I asked why.. she just said sorry we're full and said we can go to a place called ankor something just over the bridge.

We were dressed well and formal and given no reason to leave even tho offered a table previously..

Ok. We weren't welcome.. that seemed clear.. But as someone who has worked in hospitality as a host/bartender/waiter... now head chef. I won't argue.. if u ask us to leave. We will leave if that's your wish. That's your business and your decision.

Strange behaviour.. Maybe because my wife was Asian I don't know nor will understand the reason when was empty and promised a table until she came in.

I never intend to play such a race card but at that moment it seems it was the case since the issue only happened when my wife showed her face.. and we were quickly ushered out of the premise.. and door was shut behind us..

Embarrassing but we got over it.

Massive shame and embarrassment for us I was so happy to try to dine here again I hope such staff that dealt with us doesn't have the same ideals as the rest of the staff.

We can all have bad days. I get it.. but this situation is never acceptable.

Would give 5 stars for food but never got to try it. So Gave 4.

May try to visit again in near future.. but not sure if...

Well we’ll we’ll.. I have always been a loyal customer to this restaurant and am usually happy with the food. Today was unfortunately a different experience. We ordered our food as normal and I got the honey chili chicken with garlics as a side, to say the least I was not impressed. The chicken was flavorless and honestly just not appetizing. I’ve had it before and never had an issue however It was truly terrible. The garlics.. we’re completely outrageous. Green and brown potatoes and clearly the oil in the friers needed to be changed as they were unbearably greasy. To make matters worse, my friend got the smallest portion of gravy EVER SEEN and it wouldn’t even fill a ramican. In addition to this, we weren’t asked once was everything okay and even once the waitress lifted our dishes and noticed the food wasn’t touched, she didn’t care to ask why. She then slammed the bill onto the table, we were so sickened and couldn’t believe what was happening we just left, we paid our bill once again not asked how things were and left unsatisfied, we won’t be back to say the least and the Mc Donald’s we had after was definitely more appetizing, a bit of feedback for the staff checkup on ur guests im a waitress myself and was in Aw bc of this experience, it’s totally disappointing how much this place has gone to...

Had lunch in Fitzroy's for the first time. Heard great things about the place and definitely wasn't disappointed! I ordered the Carbonara which was delicious - lots of chicken and bacon and full of flavour. My daughter had the Chicken Goujons - large serving with thick chicken breast pieces. Very tasty too! We chose rice and chips as our side orders.

Staff were both friendly and attentive and we admired their tray balancing skills while running up and down between the two levels. We hadn't booked but despite being almost at full capacity, we were offered a table for two almost immediately by the owner / manager.

Toilets appeared clean, although they only offered ladies and gents sharing options...I'm not a fan of this, although there were at least four separate toilets (all with their own sink and hand-dryer).

I would love to see a few more "light lunch" options such as gourmet wraps (or similar) although they did have soup, club sandwiches and salads on offer. Our two meals with drinks cost £28 - pricy for lunch, but portion sizes and dishes were "dinner worthy", so we didn't feel hungry again until late evening. Would highly recommend...

This is a popular restaurant just off the city centre. Unfortunately though I've never enjoyed my visits here. I was here recently for a meal and couldn't wait to leave. We were sat at a table next to the restaurant door and it constantly had people going in and out. People were lining up waiting for tables and therefore were at many times gathered at the end of our table. It made for an unsettling dinner. The server was very nice and did her best but I unfortunately didn't enjoy me food. The chicken was lovely but it came with tabacco onions which were saturated in greece. The price was affordable but when it came time to pay, the resturant was so packed that we had to get up and look through the crowd for the waitress to ask her for our bill. This is a popular place for many people to eat and have a few drinks, it also seems to have a lively atmosphere if that is what you want while you eat but it doesn't suit my personal taste.

Chose this restaurant for lunch on our drive from Belfast to Donegal based on reviews and it was a definite home-run!. The ambiance is quirky with colorful velvet seats and colorful decor. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was excellent. Our party of four had two of the House Club Sandwiches which were delightful, the chicken was tender, the egg was perfectly cooked, the bread was nicely toasted. The Honey & Chili Chicken was cooked perfectly, tender chicken with just the right amount of sauce and the vegetable were cooked well and very tasty with buttery goodness!. The home-run for me was the Chicken Carbonara, the Tagliatelle Pasta was cooked to perfection, just the right al dente consistency, the chicken was thinly sliced and the sauce was light and delicious. The selections were very reasonable priced for the ample amount of food.
