Greggs — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

My 2nd time in a Greggs and 1st time in this one. I know it was a Sunday afternoon, but I think they could have brushed up a bit as there was food everywhere on the floor. The 2 guys behind the counter could pay more attention to customers instead of talking. A woman could have gotten her stuff for free as he forgot she hadn't paid till she offered to pay. I ask for an americano and a cheese toasty. I had to ask for the coffee I had paid for. As he hadn't even made it by the time I got my toasted sandwich and he looked at me like he had no idea what I was asking for. So I asked again for the americano I had ordered with my food. Think if the two guys stopped talking about whatever was distracting them from the job in hand, it would help and even a female member of staff. Said concentrate on your job and not on what you are talking about. Food ok and coffee would get someone by, but I'm not sure I'll be back in...

Walked in tonight, food had previously been sitting a while but didn’t bother me because I’m sure they have protocols of when to waste food after certain number of hours.

Put my order in, given what I ordered for and went and sat down on the seats only for the girl to cheekily shout , we’re actually take away only now, that’s why all the seats are up and waving her finger around.

News flash - all the seats were not up, hence why I was sitting on one. Another news flash - you’re open to 7, not 630, so I should be able to sit in if I want.

Then as I leave, she walks out behind me, and goes down to HeyBoba to order something. So really, she didn’t want to do her job, and instead go and get something for herself.

My ham and cheese hot baguette was actually dripping with grease, so much that I had to get a handful of napkins to clean up. The baguette was an ok taste but it was underfilled so I was eating dry baguette half the time. The tables still had other people's crumbs etc on them. With the current covid situation, most places are cleaning each table between every customer to prevent spreading infection. My coffee was ok but quite bitter. One of the things I was looking forward to were the yum yums, but they were completely slathered in think icing and they didn't have the caramel filling typical to their name, it was just dry pastry.
