Attending last night for food and a few drinks with the misus, first time here and for some reason I was put off attending as I guessed the place was small from the outside but it’s huge with varied levels and well planned lay outs on the bar with 3 levels, went for food and staff were attentive and somewhat younger I noticed but it didn’t take away from there excellent service, ordered the blackened steak and a slight error was the the T bone landed down but best mistake every as the t bone was superb, the starter pork belly was easily the best I’ve tasted and the Guinness were poured spot on and genuine glasses.
Went down to the main bar park after our meal and the crowd was a really good mixture of younger and older and great atmosphere with the different pods and live music, quick service at the bar and live music was brilliant.
Spend in total for 6 drinks each plus food (t bone was £40) a d 3 course around £130 odd, your paying a little more on the food but the quality was superb and I’ll be back down next...
Read moreThe food was mediocre considering the price for Derry and very poor choices for vegetarian (due to it being the Christmas menu). We had the table booked for 3pm but didn’t get seated until almost 4pm. We ate in the restaurant upstairs where the food is marked up compared to the bar downstairs so my advice would be to eat in the bar if at all. The staff were very slow. I’d asked for a little dessert to be brought out for my brother’s birthday so we could sing to him and they just didn’t bother. I asked the waitress about it when we were leaving and she basically shrugged and made zero apology. They also brought a kids meal out on a roasting hot plate and advised my 6 year old nephew not to touch it - surely you’d just move the food onto a plate that isn’t going to burn a child.. it’s like there isn’t much thought going into things here. The live music in the bar downstairs was very good but far too loud - just bring the volume down in the bar area and I’d go back there but not...
