Lovely little bar in Bangor. Parking is a tad difficult but a side street does the job and no need for a parking ticket either. Food was excellent and was brought out quickly. Service initially was a tad slow but not enough to hinder the experience. The area we were in for food was quiet enough but definitely seemed like a lot of life in the next room (maybe the main bar area?) Anywho, would highly recommend for a feed. We got 2 courses for £19 each on a Saturday night and was very happy with that. Fish was absolutely fantastic and a great homemade curry to go along with it. Salt and chilli beef to start was great too, not chewy at all and full of flavour. Would highly recommend

Had a lovely meal here; hot, tasty and well presented. I did ask that if I could swap my set meal mash potato for sweet potato fries (an extra on the menu) as I can't eat potato and they did. However it did appear as an extra on the bill but as they tasted so good I didn't mind paying! Also soft drinks here (smaller bottles of Fanta) are pricy but again that's the same everywhere now. Chilled bottled drinking water was offered as we waited for our meal. Service was great and I would highly recommend this place for a warm welcome. Note: I was using a gift voucher from Christmas towards the cost and we were told that it would not be date invalid so long as we had the voucher

This is somewhere my parents visit often. Just before NYE we all went out for a family meal here. I'm vegan but also gluten free and they've now got a vegan menu where they could also make those into gluten free options. I ordered the veggie tempura, it was a massive amount and tasted absolutely amazing! The staff are all so lovely and accommodating. They did have at least 1 vegan dessert option but this did have gluten in it which have me an excuse to try another cocktail 😜 It's difficult to find places that have both vegan and gf so I'm happy to add here to my list of yummy places to eat. I'll be back for more in the future 😋

As soon as we walked through the door, first thing we saw was someone projectile puking all over themselves and their table, we try to not look that way out of politeness - we were pointed towards our seats (they wanted us to sit next to their table while she was puking everywhere) instantly moved to a different table. Im .. not sure why we didn't go to a different restaurant, so I guess the rest of the experience was our fault.. The replacement table was sticky, floors sticky to the point it takes effort to lift your feet and negating broken glass everywhere all up and down the space of 3 tables..

The atmosphere was dark, dingey and sad..

The shorter waitress we had, I can't remember her name, but she was the best part of the experience as you could tell she enjoys her job, was very friendly, polite, quick service to and from bar area etc and everything you'd want in great service. Can't fault her for anything especially when she didn't look very old yet did her best to give the best service she could.

The food? (Three meat stack) Yeah I see why that person was sick out of nowhere. Clearly microwave in a bag Veg that was over held and mushy, the meat was an indistinguishable cardboard flavour between soggy mushy meats, there was an odd paste that I couldn't really figure out what it was but it was akin to whiskers wet cat food with a hint of herbs, with two oil soaked onion rings that had zero crunch. Luckily I ordered Potato cubes because that was the only mostly edible part there. Id say with the whole bowl there was 3-4/10 cubes that were still part cooked.

The older waitress (I assume bar manager) sounded proper offended when I didn't say anything when she came to ask if all was okay and I said nothing, at the end she said she would have happily changed it if I asked, but honestly I didn't trust the food from the beginning. I said stomach was churned from seeing the person being sick and she jumped down my throat saying she's special needs she couldn't help it etc etc tryna make me feel bad but see I'm highly audhd and dyspraxic and technically I'm special needs too 😅😂 don't blame the guests physical condition when the food was gross, her physical condition probably made it so she couldn't react in time - it doesn't negate that the food probably made her sick.

Was gonna get a McDonald's on way home but honestly I don't think I could stomach food after that. Never been in a restaurant and left 98% of the meal on the plate. 10/10 disappointed, only across here on holiday and this was our last meal out with family till next year so this proper ruined last night of the Holliday.

Stenna line food is also gross but for reference, even stenna line...

My wife and I have eaten here regulary and have never had a bad meal. Ate here, again today, so don't let the scaffolding put you off if you call in the next week or so. They serve generous portions at a reasonable price, and a truly great consistent standard of really tasty food ( The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn, could learn a lesson or two from here ). All of the staff are very pleasant. The only gripe I have is walking in when the restaurant is two thirds or more empty, with us not having booked, and being told they have no tables available, or they go off to check which table/s you can have. This situation has greatly improved and was partly down to younger staff members over-adherance to booking times, and not allowing flexiblity. If you get Gareth, or his Dad Eddie ( both gent's! ), there's no issue! This is a lovely restaurant, and we have no problem recommending it. They have some fabulous prints and photos scattered around the room for sale, and you can hire their function room for a £100. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! Today we had Chicken strips ( massive ), Sunday Chicken roast ( a full chicken breast with Yorkshire Pud, Roast potato and veg ), and duck with noodles! Yum. Yum. Yum. 😚 We haven't tried the Teddy Bear's picnic yet ( an inspired name ), but it's...

Just walked out of Teddys, I cant believe how bad the service & food was here. Firstly the staff need retrained in how to treat the public their attitude was terrible from we sat down everything was an effort, asked for a cocktail Menu and got a big sigh a girl served my kids cokes warm from the bottle. Ordered the chicken & chips came down and the chicken was freezing my kids meals also freezing. We finally got the attention from someone to ask for fresh food as it was cold, he said 'apparently' that tables food is cold, as if we wanted to make it up and wait on fresh food considering we were starving. Brought down our 'fresh' meal which they said they cooked, I called the woman back over and said this has been reheated as our mayo has the marks in it still from our dipped chips, she said oh did you not get fresh food and just stood there, I said we would pay for our drinks and just forget the food and we would be leaving, I walked on out with my kids to the cheek they actually charged us for the kids meals! Terrible service won't be back and won't be recommending to anyone, Ruined our Fathers day meal! You maybe want to retrain your staff, a nice warm welcome goes along way, but when you step foot in somewhere with a bad attitude should have knew to leave...
