The Trinity Bar — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Got the bang bang chicken and my wife got chicken goujons, the bang bang chicken didn’t come with bang bang sauce but came with a honey and mustard dip, the goujons according to the menu came with a garlic sauce but it was sour cream. The presentation was good for the food but unless the taste is great there’s not much point having great presentation. The staff were quite good but we were waiting quite a while to get a drink. Also we decided to have a go at the poker machine at the bar but we were constantly bumped into by the staff with no apologies as it’s located to close to the bar and would be better areas for this. It's with a heavy heart I write this because I've been before and the food was great I arrived at Patrick's day at 1 pm with my husband and granddaughter waiting for my two sisters and another niece the place was absolutely freezing everyone around us had coats on we asked seven times for heat to be put on no one seemed to even know what we were talking about We ordered food which took one and a half hours to come out and was stoned cold freezing inedible to be honest My elderly parents arrived then and didn't even want a drink because they said the place was freezing and they weren't staying in the end up we just went home such a disappointment of a day especially when my sister's where home from America and I had boosted the place up overall horrendous service freezing cold food and although the staff tried their best apologising I'll...

Our meal was exceptional. I eat quite a bit of salmon and I think what I had was probably the nicest salmon I've ever had. Beautiful decor, really pleasant helpful staff. However, the desserts unfortunately prevent me from giving 5 stars all around. The pavlova was not pavlova but a meringue nest with cream and swimming in sauce which obviously took considerable effort but unfortunately just didn't work. My friend was visiting from the States and was very excited to have pavlova and this didn't cut it. They couldn't provide what I asked for so I had the 'pavlova' but I couldn't eat it. My friends cousin had the carrot cake which was dry. Considering what a gorgeous place this is and the standard of the meal, this was disappointing. My suggestion, go for a meal by all means but...
