Istanbul Sunset Grill — Restaurant in Norwich

I am not naturally drawn to kebabs. For some reason, kebabs put me in mind of lager, technicoloured yawns and patriarchal cul de sac's. However, the Istanbul Sunset Grill has done much to dissuade me from my prejudices.

It is a very friendly shop with beautiful staff who are wonderfully pleasant and kind, and if you are not sure of a dish; they are so confident in the quality of their food, that they will go to the trouble of giving you a little taster.

Easily the best pizza in Norwich – I don’t know what makes it so good, it just is. The dough is perfect, the flavour always hits the spot, and the quality shows (barely any grease in the box, which says a lot). You get a choice of five different bases – tomato, chilli, BBQ, and a couple of others I can’t remember. Chilli is my go to.

About a year ago the food was amazing, but recently taste and quality have dropped off a cliff!. Hit and miss whether you will get what you ordered, and there about a 65% chance that you'll get a bad stomach. Pitta breads are stale, I'd be surprised if the donner meat was in date within the last 12 months, the chicken shish is bland as cardboard and the chips are usually so over-fried it makes me wonder of there was ever any potato at all.
