Nottingham has recently been graced with a new cafĂ©, Chaabiskut, and itâs already making waves as one of the cityâs best spots for authentic Indian food. Tucked away in a cozy corner, this charming cafĂ© blends the warmth of traditional Indian hospitality with a contemporary vibe, making it an unmissable destination for food lovers.
From the moment you walk in, Chaabiskut welcomes you with its inviting ambiance, featuring earthy tones, soft lighting, and subtle Indian-inspired decor. The attention to detail extends beyond the aesthetics and into their menu, which is a masterful combination of classic Indian dishes and innovative fusion creations.
The food is nothing short of spectacular. Every bite bursts with authentic flavors, prepared with the freshest ingredients and a dedication to perfection. Their samosas are crisp and golden, with a spicy filling thatâs just the right level of indulgent. The chai? Simply unforgettable â brewed to perfection, with aromatic spices that transport you straight to the streets of India. But what truly steals the show are their modern twists on classics, like the chaat platters and unique takes on desi sandwiches.
Whether youâre craving a hearty curry, a quick snack, or a comforting cup of masala chai, Chaabiskut delivers every time. The portions are generous, the presentation is stunning, and the staffâs warmth makes the entire experience even more delightful.
Chaabiskut is more than just a cafĂ© â itâs a celebration of Indian culture and cuisine. If youâre in Nottingham, this is one culinary journey you donât want to miss. Five stars...
Read moreThis place offers a wide range of options for people with all types of diets, which is quite common in self-Asian cuisines. Theyâre masters at giving vegan or vegetarian food options that donât feel like a missed opportunity or a lack of something.
The service is good, but it has the potential to be great. A lot of the staff seem rushed off their feet, and with the venue being quite small, it has an intimate feel, especially with the decor. I do feel like hiring more staff would allow for a more personalised and tailored experience.
Iâve tried a variety of dishes on each occasion, but my absolute favourite was the aloo tikki chaat. It was so delicious that I attempted to make it again at home, but nothing beats their version.
Iâve been here on numerous occasions with different family members, small groups, and large groups, and I find that the service tends to be better when thereâs a smaller group of people so as not to overwhelm the staff.
The concept is brilliant, and a lot of people love this place. However, I feel like the business could really benefit from a larger space.
Aside from this, every time Iâve been here, Iâve heard that the food has been absolutely delicious and spot-on. Another recommendation would be to incorporate a changing table because a lot of mothers come here for a wholesome and fulfilling meal. If there was a changing table in the bathroom or something of that sort, it would provide for a wholesome experience...
Read moreNice looking place with next to abysmal service. It's Sunday so you'd expect it to be fairly busy. I see one waitress doing everything, at a snails pace as if she gets paid by the minute. Two tables have been empty for around 20 minutes now and one still has dirty dishes on it. We ordered 50 minutes ago and the first dish came out after 30 mins of ordering.. with no utensils. When we asked for them she said she'll come back soon. So we're sat looking at a Chicken Burji going cold for around 5 minutes before she comes back with 3 knives and forks, despite there being 4 of us. We asked for a Mocktail with strawberry but she bought out a classic, when we asked her she said that's what you ordered. Instead of offering to swap it she just looks at us so we say it's fine and make do.
Since then food is trickling out, my coffee came next.. and it's been 20 more minutes and no Desi Breakfast. I don't know what sort of service they're running but either hire more staff for weekends or train the existing staff to actually give a monkeys about service. My coffee is now cold and still no breakfast.
It's a shame, the place has promise but how do I have time to write this review while waiting for my food with the rest of my family finally eating (after waiting for their individual dishes to roll off the proverbial conveyor belt). It's now been an hour since we ordered....
