An amazing find for true, tasty and bold Indian flavours in Nottingham. Ordered: Samosa chaat and Dhokla. Pistachio iced coffee and Badam milk. Samosa chaat was one of the best I've had till date including the ones in India.! High flavours on everything, perfectly balanced chana, generous portion size, perfectly cooked samosa(unlike frozen ones) , chutneys, garnish everything was excellent. Dhokla, my goodness was a lovely surprise.. the perfect texture.. cooked to perfection, spongy, incredible chutneys.. just wow! Iced coffee was smooth and just perfect to my liking, no syrups or additional sugar needed. Badam milk was rich and creamy, slightly too sweet to my liking but really good. Service was quick too, lovely little place in the city centre for a quick pop over hunger. I'd definitely try other options on the menu too at some point. Price wise, a little steep .. but if the portion size remains the same with consistent taste.. I think it's worth it. Overall, really liked the place and looks forward to trying other dishes on the menu.

The place looks great and good variety of options on the menu however we were massively let down by the service. One of the cups of tea that came out had a lipstick stain on the mug. I informed the staff who took the cup away and simply poured the same tea into a new mug. Very unhygienic as the cup clearly hadn’t been washed properly. When asked, the staff member confirmed it was a new tea, but we insisted she checked with the kitchen staff and after doing so, brought out a new tea as it was in fact the same tea that had been given back to us from the dirty cup. The samosa chaat was quite nice in flavour but one of the samosas had uncooked/raw potato. The lotus pancakes we ordered were tasty and would recommend these. Overall, poor service and inattentive staff. Barely received an apology from them. Would expect much better service and higher quality food for the prices that are being charged.

Nottingham has recently been graced with a new cafĂ©, Chaabiskut, and it’s already making waves as one of the city’s best spots for authentic Indian food. Tucked away in a cozy corner, this charming cafĂ© blends the warmth of traditional Indian hospitality with a contemporary vibe, making it an unmissable destination for food lovers.

From the moment you walk in, Chaabiskut welcomes you with its inviting ambiance, featuring earthy tones, soft lighting, and subtle Indian-inspired decor. The attention to detail extends beyond the aesthetics and into their menu, which is a masterful combination of classic Indian dishes and innovative fusion creations.

The food is nothing short of spectacular. Every bite bursts with authentic flavors, prepared with the freshest ingredients and a dedication to perfection. Their samosas are crisp and golden, with a spicy filling that’s just the right level of indulgent. The chai? Simply unforgettable — brewed to perfection, with aromatic spices that transport you straight to the streets of India. But what truly steals the show are their modern twists on classics, like the chaat platters and unique takes on desi sandwiches.

Whether you’re craving a hearty curry, a quick snack, or a comforting cup of masala chai, Chaabiskut delivers every time. The portions are generous, the presentation is stunning, and the staff’s warmth makes the entire experience even more delightful.

Chaabiskut is more than just a cafĂ© — it’s a celebration of Indian culture and cuisine. If you’re in Nottingham, this is one culinary journey you don’t want to miss. Five stars...

This place offers a wide range of options for people with all types of diets, which is quite common in self-Asian cuisines. They’re masters at giving vegan or vegetarian food options that don’t feel like a missed opportunity or a lack of something.

The service is good, but it has the potential to be great. A lot of the staff seem rushed off their feet, and with the venue being quite small, it has an intimate feel, especially with the decor. I do feel like hiring more staff would allow for a more personalised and tailored experience.

I’ve tried a variety of dishes on each occasion, but my absolute favourite was the aloo tikki chaat. It was so delicious that I attempted to make it again at home, but nothing beats their version.

I’ve been here on numerous occasions with different family members, small groups, and large groups, and I find that the service tends to be better when there’s a smaller group of people so as not to overwhelm the staff.

The concept is brilliant, and a lot of people love this place. However, I feel like the business could really benefit from a larger space.

Aside from this, every time I’ve been here, I’ve heard that the food has been absolutely delicious and spot-on. Another recommendation would be to incorporate a changing table because a lot of mothers come here for a wholesome and fulfilling meal. If there was a changing table in the bathroom or something of that sort, it would provide for a wholesome experience...

Nice looking place with next to abysmal service. It's Sunday so you'd expect it to be fairly busy. I see one waitress doing everything, at a snails pace as if she gets paid by the minute. Two tables have been empty for around 20 minutes now and one still has dirty dishes on it. We ordered 50 minutes ago and the first dish came out after 30 mins of ordering.. with no utensils. When we asked for them she said she'll come back soon. So we're sat looking at a Chicken Burji going cold for around 5 minutes before she comes back with 3 knives and forks, despite there being 4 of us. We asked for a Mocktail with strawberry but she bought out a classic, when we asked her she said that's what you ordered. Instead of offering to swap it she just looks at us so we say it's fine and make do.

Since then food is trickling out, my coffee came next.. and it's been 20 more minutes and no Desi Breakfast. I don't know what sort of service they're running but either hire more staff for weekends or train the existing staff to actually give a monkeys about service. My coffee is now cold and still no breakfast.

It's a shame, the place has promise but how do I have time to write this review while waiting for my food with the rest of my family finally eating (after waiting for their individual dishes to roll off the proverbial conveyor belt). It's now been an hour since we ordered....
