I had a good night out with my friends, there were seven of us. Normally this isn't my place to go to, but I rolled with the decision of the group. Three of my friends already entered when I was stopped by a woman bouncer, who told me apparently I was too drunk to get in, which was absurd, as if anything, I was the most sober in the group. My friends started to question this, and they got shouted at and threatened by an another bouncer for it while doing nothing such that deserves this attitude. The whole situation is ridiculous, and it left a sour taste in my friend's birthday night out, as I was planning to go home anyways soon, but they weren't allowed in because of me. So we went to another bar nearby where obviously we were let in. We had a drink there but I was about to go home anyways, even before that incident. On my way home, I stopped by Lloyds Bar, and out of curiosity I asked a different bouncer who stood outside, if I could enter the bar. He said that they are closing soon so the answer was no. I wish the previous two bouncers would've told me the same, as it would've been okay, but this way it seemed a lot more personal and un-professional. I think it's very unprofessional that the bouncers turn down customers like this, as I've seen a lot more horrible people before let into bars. This place was a no-go for me anyways, but after tonight's incident I'll make sure I'll spread the word that it's a no-go for...

3 of us went to this pub , waited patiently for a table as the place was packed, finally got a table and proceeded to order food and drinks, whilst waiting for the food we asked if there was a place we could have a cigarette as none of us had been before, we were shown a exit door so we went out , the door was locked after us leaving us to walk around to the front of the building, we went to go back inside and was stopped by the very rude door men who abruptly told us they were too busy and we wasn’t allowed back in they said we had to wait 15 minutes despite being told we had already got a table and we were waiting for food - very hostile door men who actually said the manager told them we couldn’t go back in- I asked why they just said no - I asked for manager name and was laughed at and was told they didn’t know his name , eventually a young lady came out and brought us back in as our food was getting cold . Awful treatment we received- door men need serious re training, very rude and actually pushed a young man down the steps right into myself- will never return to this place , was treated...

Staff are absolutely dreadful and useless. Out of the 189 wetherspoons i have been to across the United Kingdom, this one has to single handedly be the worst. Me and my two adult teenagers just finished playing a long game of mini golf for around 2 and a half hours. Now because they have dietary issues and cannot drink alcohol, I had to purchase them the only available option which wasnt water or fizzy pop. My kids only drink milk as they have severely bad autism and i have cared for them daily for their entire lives respectively. So anyways I ordered them their glasses of milk, and we waited around 15 minutes and still no sign so i decided to purchase more without asking before hand as they are not that pricey. So i waited another 15 minutes for my milk to arrive and still no sign so i decided to purchase more and go up and ask. At this point i had ordered 15 glasses of milk for my two autistic teenage adults. They told me I could not get it refunded or get an exchange for myself, so frustrated i decided to leave and go home. What a horrible uninviting place for two autistic...

Every time i go into Lloyds No1 (Nottingham) there's another new face serving behind the bar, who seems to be slightly stupider than the last one. So let me give you a few tips. Ever heard the saying ''service with a smile''? try it. Start by asking yes sir/madam what would you like, or what can i get you? Don't assume they want a mixer or ice with their drinks, or an order of food. Listen to the customer carefully, and don't assume how they gonna pay by pointing at the card machine even before they've received their order when they might be using cash. Finish by saying thank you sir/madam. I know it's low paid but if you don't like it, then take your poor attitude and find another job to pay off that student debt to cover that useless degree you'll probably end up with. Oh and one more thing, i've noticed and not for the first time, that some staff don't know the difference between a single and a double? so you're either don't know what you're doing or you're skimming the till !

We came to Wetherspoon to have a nice meal and chill time together. It was a bit busy with students as the Pub is in the city centre but it wasn't as loud as I thought it would be. Lovely pub with some beautiful history behind. Drinks were lovely and we didn't have to wait too long. When it comes to food it is a bit different story. I mean overal was nice but not the best. We ordered ourselves 8inch pizza which was perfect. 1st Meal: Double chicken burger with fries, but unfortunately chicken was slightly overcooked and hard. It wasn't as warm as it should be. 2nd Meal: Fish and Chips and again it wasn't as we expected. It was on cold side and the fish was overcooked and hard. It wasn't very hot. Next time when I come I will give another chance as it might be one of those bad days but today's we had bad experience and pretty unhappy.

This is a massive, cathedral-like place full to the brim of lively, seemingly not very bright students, many out of their tiny minds (and I’m using the verb ‘tiny’ literally) with the help of the amber nectar or similar concoctions and other (no doubt proscribed) ‘substances’. The food is…food and, like all Spoons, the ambiance varies from somnolent to ‘extremely lively’ depending on the time of the week and/or the day. TOP TIP: As with all Spoons: timing is everything. My advice would be never to venture there after dark or at weekends, the only exception being to get ‘tanked up’ before going to a more expensive, (moderately) classier venue.
