Chef's Hut — Restaurant in Nottingham

Young man was constantly talking on his phone while I was asking questions about food, instead of answering me he handed me a leaflet with prices on it so he could continue chatting on his phone I guess. I came in after 6pm and there was still ackee salt fish no doubt from the morning I asked him how long it's been there he said he did not know. I think he was annoyed I was disturbing him and his call. I ended buying brown stew chicken rice which was so dry It could start a fire in my mouth the rice was nice. I think it's unhygienic to be chatting over the food while you serve it which is why I threw most of it away in the end. My daughter bought two oxtail rice and peas to take out. Clearly more effort was taken with sealing the packaging with cling film than cooking the food. When I opened it it was more like shredded oxtail with greasy gravy. The rice was hard and not cooked or seasoned. Looked more like leftovers. I could have used the two sad dumplings as matchsticks. We called and was advised to bring it back, but the staff had an attitude. When my daughter brought it back the older woman was rude and had such an attitude, and the younger staff member was immature and giggling. They could not understand why the two meals were returned. Got our refund but won’t be going back. These staff and whoever cooked the food needs their p45 or they will drag down your business. Poor...
