Compa Nottingham — Restaurant in Nottingham

After so many gorgeous meals in their Beeston location, I came with high expectations and I was NOT disappointed!! I really felt welcomed as soon as I stepped in the door. I was spoilt for choice (the menu has some items which aren’t available in the Beeston location which I was eager to try) so I asked Andrea for a recommendation who recommended a porchetta, rocket, and Parmesan panino. It was absolutely gorgeous! The porchetta has been my favourite food from the Beeston location since the first time I had it, so it was a perfect match. It was also a really great portion size. I had it with a peach juice and I’ve been thinking about it every lunch time since..!

I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant too. It felt so lovely and cosy and it really hit that perfect point where it’s a nice place to go out for a special occasion, but also felt comfortable enough for more relaxed visits (of which I will be doing many, many more!). When I heard that a new Italian place had opened in such a city centre area, I was a bit reluctant. My girlfriend and I decided to try it and it really didn’t disappoint us. We were hosted by the excellent Andrea, who showed us all the amazing Italian cured meats on display and made a beautiful panini recommendation. I had Prosciutto di Parma and Burrata cream with Pistachio cream on my sandwich and it was something out of this world. My girlfriend had Lasagna and of course I had to try it! It was similar to the one that my Nonna used to make me! An absolute banger! We will for sure go back. Great selection...

Visited before a trip to the cinema on Thursday evening. We enjoyed everything we ordered (tomato bruschetta, arancine, porchetta and pasta al forno, plus desserts!). The menu has a great selection that we will definitely be returning to try more - including the 'make your own' antipasti boards. But, the service and atmosphere really make this place special.
