Terrible Sunday dinner service. Main course Took took 40 minutes to come out, portions very small. Quality of the food very poor. Then having finished our abnormally small Sunday lunch main courses (still ever so hungry) - 40 minutes had passed and our desserts had not been served. I questioned the staff member who had been serving us who stated “can’t you see we’re really busy?”. This is not an excuse! To add insult to injury he then stated we needed to move table as someone had booked the position we were seated. We left, after going to the bar to get a refund for our non delivered dessert. There were 0 apologies given by the members of staff and I believe it was the owner of the establishment who told me to “calm down” over the situation, as I stated to him it was unacceptable. Unapologetic, poor food, poor service and overpriced. We shall not be visiting the establishment again, not even for drinks - this may change if the management changes, which going by my experience would have to be very soon. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Staff are poorly trained and the management couldn’t give a damn about service. Granted sometimes busy times can cause delay, but please accept some responsibility and apologise. Budget carverys in the area are a far greater option if you’re considering coming to a Sunday lunch meal here. AVOID, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - POOR QUALITY FOOD. RUDE...

Awful experience. Went for Xmas Dinner, no-one came to take drink orders so we had to go to the bar. We sat for 1 and a half hours without food before saying something, they then brought food straight out that had clearly been sat under the hot plates for a long time. Waited another 45 mins with finished starter plates sat in front of us before saying something again. Same thing with the food coming straight out, meaning it had been sat there. The mains were truly disgusting, fatty beef, no veg and awful gravy. Have been very ill all evening from this. Desert was meant to be a soufflé, it wasn't! It was a brownie, again, awful taste. We sat with finished desert plates in front of us for half an hour before clearing them ourselves. The bill came and they had added a £16 service charge which was fairly laughable after the experience. They never came to take payment, so again we headed to the bar to pay and took off the charge. We never got an apology for the poor service, or for the wait on food. Would definitely not recommend and ask you to stay away at all costs. Especially for what is supposed to be a special occasion. I will be sending in a...

Went to the roundhouse for the first time on Sunday for their Sunday lunch with my family.

We had a pram and were not made aware upon booking of the large amount of stairs which was unhelpful. If you are coming here with a pram make sure you can carry it separately to the baby!

The Sunday Lunch itself was okay. I was expecting a bit more since the reviews are glowing but to be honest it wasn't that good.

I ordered the beef which was very fatty and almost too tough to cut through, needed a steak knife but they don't provide one. The potatoes were undercooked and slightly hard in the middle and the broccoli was overcooked, floppy and watery.

My partner had the chicken and it was much better than the beef, very juicy and flavourful but unfortunately the trimmings are what let both meals down.

Probably wouldn't go back as it is VERY expensive for what you get. We paid £68 overall for two adults and one child plus two...

We came here as a family and it was an absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. The staff were super kind and friendly and the food was amazing! It was Sunday, so roasts all around, and oh my goodness were they ever good. We had the 3-course menus and from start to finish, it did not disappoint. The haddock bubble and squeak was amazing and such a light starter, but we also tried the mac and cheese and cauliflower soup which were absolutely delicious. The roast chicken and beef were fantastic and the sauces were great. We were really thankful as well as they brought extra Yorkshire puddings for my uncle (he was thrilled!). Dessert was excellent as well and we loved the brownie, crumble and orange and rhubarb fool. Side note as well, their Old Fashioned cocktail was really good too! I'd highly recommend a visit. :)

Nice little find, came here as I had a craving for Mac and cheese and this was the only place that served it. Fairly good Mac and cheese, not the cheesiest I've ever had but it had flavour and plenty of cheese sauce so it could have been a lot worse. The garlic bread was quite dry but not the end of the world as I'd rather it be dry than greasy. Service was great, only saw one member of staff but he was very friendly. The atmosphere was good, very quiet which is what I like, just a little background music. If I come back to Nottingham I will definitely eat here again. And would definitely recommend.

Such a hidden gem! Me and the boyfriend went for the first time ever and were more than impressed, The food was made fresh and the portions were generous, lots of choice and good quality ingredients. Boyfriend commented on the beef patty in the burger being the best tasting and quality he has ever had The cocktails were beautiful and made infront of you at the bar, staff were polite and lovely and were accommodating to use wanting to take time between courses. Definitely will go back and definitely recommend
