I visited Memsaab on Friday after hearing rave reviews about this place for years. Everyone from my family, friends, and colleagues who’s been there has raved about their experience. Despite being hesitant to try highly recommended places, the combination of their pricing and the overwhelming positive feedback made me want to give it a try. Upon entering, we were greeted with dates, a traditional Muslim treat, and offered ample prayer space in the back. They also provided us with plenty of water to break our fast, which was incredibly thoughtful of the staff. After our prayers, we settled down and were promptly and efficiently served by attentive waiters, making our dining experience feel personalised. The staff was incredibly compassionate and accommodating of our dietary requirements. They explained each dish in detail and were genuinely interested in engaging with our group. The food was absolutely delicious. I started with the Amritsari Machli, a delectable dish served with a variety of tasty sauces. My husband and I then opted for a tandoori combination, and the staff kindly swapped out the prawns for another chicken tikka. We paired these dishes with peshwari naan, which perfectly complemented the flavours. As a food reviewer, I usually try places only once before moving on to the next, but Memsaab has certainly piqued my interest. I’m eager to return and explore more of their extensive menu.

When arriving we were quickly shown to our table. The girl who took our order wasn’t a very warming person but a little on the abrupt side. The dish I wanted was chicken thigh meat and I asked if this could be changed to chicken breast. I always have chicken Khari with chicken beast meat in many restaurants. When asking if this could be changed to breast she said she would check with the chef as it wasn’t on the menu, this was ok but it was her attitude, made us feel like we were putting her out. Disappointed with the size of the nan bread considering the price. Rather than the normal size nan (dinner plate) it was the size of a saucer. It was cold. I addressed the waiter and he didn’t seem bothered when I mentioned the size but did bring an extra nan bread. When paying top end prices you expect quality and quantity. We eat at numerous Indian restaurants and have never had a nan bread so small. Unfortunately the lady in the red dress and the gent that visit the tables never came to ours which leads me to believe it’s all a set up. Seems strange two unhappy customers were never confronted by these two very important looking people but just seem to address the happier customers as they know they will have more positive feedback back. Disappointed wouldn’t recommend but it’s personal choice. Go and check out for yourselves.

Arrived here at 8pm on a Saturday evening, place was really lively and the atmosphere was brilliant. Service was abit slow but we didn't mind as there were alot of customers inside. In terms of food, the starters were very flavoursome but they were expensive - £9.95 for 2 pieces of Tandoori King Prawns and £8.50 for 3 pieces of lamb chops!!!! The mains were average and could have been much better especially for the price. When you are paying £15 for a curry you expect the portion to be generous but it wasn't. Presentation was perfect as seen by the pictures attached. The biggest problem was that you cannot order anything that isn't on the menu. For example, no Lamb Karahi on the menu but they serve Chicken Karahi... I asked if I could have the Lamb Karahi and the waiter advised they cannot deviate from the menu. Very strange given it should take the same amount of time to make either curry. Overall I would come back to Memsaab if I was ever in the area but I would also be willing to try other places.

I recently had a disheartening experience at a restaurant, largely due to the appalling behavior of the manager. His actions and attitude left me utterly disappointed and questioning the values of the establishment. I believe it is important to shed light on this incident to prevent others from encountering a similar unpleasant encounter.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was met with a welcoming ambiance and an intriguing menu. Eager to try the food, I proceeded to take a seat and began reviewing the options. However, as I was about to place my order, the manager approached me with a condescending demeanor. It was apparent that he had formed a presumptuous judgment about my financial status.

He proceeded to make snide remarks, insinuating that I could not afford the food at his restaurant. Not only was this incredibly disrespectful, but it also demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. A manager's role is to create a positive and inclusive environment for all customers, regardless of their background or economic status. Sadly, this manager failed to fulfill these fundamental responsibilities.

Instead of offering assistance or guidance, the manager's behavior left me feeling humiliated and belittled. It is deeply concerning that he would pass judgment on a customer without knowing anything about their circumstances. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, especially in a place of business.

Moreover, such behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment. It is disheartening to witness a manager representing a restaurant with such a disdainful attitude towards potential customers. This incident not only tarnished my experience but also discouraged me from ever returning to the establishment or recommending it to others.

I urge the restaurant's management to address this issue promptly and take appropriate steps to ensure that such behavior is never repeated. Re-training and a reminder of basic customer service principles should be implemented to prevent further incidents that could potentially damage the restaurant's reputation.

In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant was marred by the manager's appalling behavior. His presumptuous and disrespectful treatment was a blatant display of unprofessionalism. I hope that by sharing this review, it serves as a reminder to both the manager and the restaurant's management that all customers should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their perceived...

I had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant on 05th June 2012. We had great service from the moment we entered the restaurant. We were greeted by one of the director's of the restaurant who personified both the elegance and warmth of the restaurant. The decor was classy and clean with interesting pictures on the walls. We had a choice of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and i would definitely recommend the "cocktails" and the wonderful lassi. Being Vegetarian we had a selection of the starters which were so delicious light tasty and spicy. I would also highly recommend the chutneys that accompanied the poppodums the apricot was very good and different from what i have been offered in other indian restaurants.

The main course and starters were served in an impressive fashion with the waiters explaining what was in the dishes and reminding us what we had ordered. The food was displayed in a very professional manner. The main course was exceptionally good warm tasty and i highly recommend the dal and the nanas especially the coriander one was so good and cut in small pieces so u could sample a variety without being full on just one big naan which can happen in other restaurants.

Finally my fav part of any meal the dessert. I must tell everyone to try the Garja Ka halwa with Pistachio Kulfi it was so tasty like a carrot cake but so much more tasty with the kulfi giving it such a great taste. It was worth trying u will be in heaven.

Overall the experience was great the service was fantastic with the waiters being both attentive and friendly. It is great to see the directors of the restaurant being on the "shop floor" keen to get feedback but also providing a warm friendly and high quality cuisine experience.

I highly recommend everyone try this exceptionally great indian restaurant with great food atmosphere friendly knowledgable staff and...
